@Titankilla1982 LOL, I couldn't even take pictures that good here on earth without the spacesuit gloves on or the extreme temperatures affecting sensitive film if they really were on the moon. I can't say 100% positively that they didn't go to the moon but I'm certain that the photos and video were produced on Earth by professionals who had them all ready to be presented at the appropriate time.

The astronauts trained on Earth for months prior to launch with the cameras so that they'd know how to frame shots. They were even encouraged to bring the cameras with them on personal trips to gain experience! Some images didn't even turn out very well, and were touched up later.

Also, you seem to have missed what I was talking about. The CAMERAS were my subject back there, not the astronauts. On that subject, however, the radiation levels on the moon, while potent, are still nonlethal over a three-day period of exposure.

All information I have been able to find says that the gift was given by the head of a political party, not by the astronauts. And it was physically very inconsistent with actual moon rocks that were given as gifts.

First of all you start with the supposition that there are telescopes that can read the date on a dime from 250,000. There are none that can do that. So you set up a straw man argument. The LRO has now photographed all the Apollo landing sites and the landers are visible in every one. You can even see the foot paths of the astronauts in the case of Apollo 14's site. There will be even better higher res images on these sites in the coming weeks. We landed men on the moon 6 times.

Still. No blast crater from where The Eagle (allegedly) landed. If the surface of the moon is in fact as powdery fine as the astroNOTS claimed, what with the gravity being 1/6 that of Earth that dust would have been blown hundreds (if not thousands) of feet into the air from the thrust of the Lunar Lander's rocket. Yet clearly the lunar module had no visible thrust coming out and no dust particles being blown in a million different directions. That alone for me is proof enough of the hoax.

If you look at the NASA archives there IS blast damage under the LEM. It's a little dumb to be looking for a crater given what kind of impact speed is required in 1/6th gravity. That same amount of gravity also meant the greater thrust was used to slow the LEM down at quite a height.

Dust in a vacuum has no air resistance to encounter. This is why the flag takes longer to settle when its moved and why the dust from their feet flops straight back down again, but is fine enough to record every detail of a boot imprint.

As for the moon rocks, less then a kilogram was collected by Soviet probe, yet they matched the pertinent details of the hundreds of kilograms from Apollo. Moon meteorites were only identified as such AFTER Apollo gave samples for comparison.
There are several alternative scenarios that would explain the rocks so they aren't proof of anything. The proof is in the video. Look at post #563 of this page.
They are not like Earth rocks, they are not exactly like lunar meteorites, much more weathering, heat effects from atmospheric entry, which were only identified as such in 1978, by COMPARING them to NASA rocks
You can get them by probe but it took the Soviets 3 trips to get less then a kilogram. It wouldn't work for Apollo as many of the NASA rocks as many are more then a kilogram each.

The main function of a spacesuit is to protect the astronaut from the vacuum of space. The radiation in space is higher than on earth, but not anywhere near lethal level. The spacesuit offers little protection against radiation and it doesn't need to.
Chernobyl killed people due to intense gamma and neutron radiation fields much stronger than exist in space.
You're assuming that the official version of space radiation is true. The only people who know the true natue of space radiation are people with high security clearances in countries that have sent probes into space. The government may be lying to us.

I've never seen any proof that the missions were real but I've seen lots of proof that they were faked. Post something you think is conclusive proof that the missions were real and we can talk about whether it's really proof.
It's also possible that they had a few real moon rocks that had been gathered by robot craft to fool the really hard-to-fool scientists. Some of them might have been meteorites.
There are too many plausible scenarios that would explain the rocks so they are not conclusive proof that the missions were real.
The total quantity of moon rocks returned by robotic probes is something under a kilo. Apollo brought back nearly 400 kilos. That'd have required a huge and highly secret robotic mission, of which no evidence exists. Plenty of evidence however exists for the manned missions.

The fact that we can't find any mention of it on the internet doesn't mean there were no classified missions. It's plausible that one of the Surveyor probes was really a rock-gathering mission. The press wouldn't report anything that went against the official version if any amatuer astronomer were to try to report something.
The surveyor probe was tiny, something much larger would be required to bring back 800lbs of rocks and the Russians would have reported it even if the American press did not.
A secret huge robotic mission would have required collusion of tens of thousands of people in aerospace contracting companies. Nasa made no hardware itself remember. There is no evidence of any such mission.
There is however huge evidence that actual space-ready hardware was built and flown with men in it.

There was always an element of danger and the possible mishap. This was the business they chose FOR OUR BENEFIT I may add on this first moon landing anniversiry.
The integrity of the spacesuit was all ready tested in programs like Gemini and the previous Apollo missions. We had the spacesuit stuff down- that knowlage was in the can already. Buzz practically invented the EVA-He was the man you wanted to test the suite on the surface for the first time. I'm sure he wasn't being reckless in fact the both of them were very tentative if you compare their behavior to the other astroauts in the missions that followed.

I can't say 100% positively that they didn't go to the moon but I'm certain that the photos and video were produced on Earth by professionals who had them all ready to be presented at the appropriate time.

The astronauts trained on Earth for months prior to launch with the cameras so that they'd know how to frame shots. They were even encouraged to bring the cameras with them on personal trips to gain experience! Some images didn't even turn out very well, and were touched up later.

Also, you seem to have missed what I was talking about. The CAMERAS were my subject back there, not the astronauts. On that subject, however, the radiation levels on the moon, while potent, are still nonlethal over a three-day period of exposure.

First of all you start with the supposition that there are telescopes that can read the date on a dime from 250,000. There are none that can do that. So you set up a straw man argument. The LRO has now photographed all the Apollo landing sites and the landers are visible in every one. You can even see the foot paths of the astronauts in the case of Apollo 14's site. There will be even better higher res images on these sites in the coming weeks. We landed men on the moon 6 times.

Still. No blast crater from where The Eagle (allegedly) landed. If the surface of the moon is in fact as powdery fine as the astroNOTS claimed, what with the gravity being 1/6 that of Earth that dust would have been blown hundreds (if not thousands) of feet into the air from the thrust of the Lunar Lander's rocket. Yet clearly the lunar module had no visible thrust coming out and no dust particles being blown in a million different directions. That alone for me is proof enough of the hoax.

If you look at the NASA archives there IS blast damage under the LEM. It's a little dumb to be looking for a crater given what kind of impact speed is required in 1/6th gravity. That same amount of gravity also meant the greater thrust was used to slow the LEM down at quite a height.

And where was the secret launch of the Saturn 5 sized rocket this would have needed? It would not be easy to hide. Who made the rocket and the probe? It would have involved thousands of people, all of whom would have to lie. What about civilians who would have seen the launch?

I have made a living as a professional engineer and scientist for the last 26 years and this is news to me. Lying is anathema to scientists because they have to justify everthing with hard evidence.
Scientists are often wrong, but a good scientist will change their view in response to evidence.
Your views are based on the assumption that everyone is lying to you. As such, nothing can ever change your view, and further discussion is pointless.

The reports say that no scientific data conclusively proves that uranium caused the health effects.
The government is mis-representing this datat to argue that the uranium *did not* cause the health problems.
The government is distorting the scientist's conculsions to draw conclusions that are not supported by the research itself.

No, they weren't. The Surveyor landers were launched with the Atlas booster, the same type used to launch John Glenn into orbit the first time.
Does your 'fact' represent an accurate sample of your knowledge of the early US space program?
As for the moon rocks, less then a kilogram was collected by Soviet probe, yet they matched the pertinent details of the hundreds of kilograms from Apollo. Moon meteorites were only identified as such AFTER Apollo gave samples for comparison.

They are not like Earth rocks, they are not exactly like lunar meteorites, much more weathering, heat effects from atmospheric entry, which were only identified as such in 1978, by COMPARING them to NASA rocks
You can get them by probe but it took the Soviets 3 trips to get less then a kilogram. It wouldn't work for Apollo as many of the NASA rocks as many are more then a kilogram each.

The main function of a spacesuit is to protect the astronaut from the vacuum of space. The radiation in space is higher than on earth, but not anywhere near lethal level. The spacesuit offers little protection against radiation and it doesn't need to.
Chernobyl killed people due to intense gamma and neutron radiation fields much stronger than exist in space.
The two situations are not comparable.

You're assuming that the official version of space radiation is true. The only people who know the true natue of space radiation are people with high security clearances in countries that have sent probes into space. The government may be lying to us.

Not true, scientists worldwide can model space radiation, and they can check this with data from unmanned probes.
The Russians sent probes into deep space, if these showed intense radiation or evidence that the American moon landings were fake, then the Russians would have been the first to say so.

It's also possible that they had a few real moon rocks that had been gathered by robot craft to fool the really hard-to-fool scientists. Some of them might have been meteorites.
There are too many plausible scenarios that would explain the rocks so they are not conclusive proof that the missions were real.

The total quantity of moon rocks returned by robotic probes is something under a kilo. Apollo brought back nearly 400 kilos. That'd have required a huge and highly secret robotic mission, of which no evidence exists. Plenty of evidence however exists for the manned missions.

The fact that we can't find any mention of it on the internet doesn't mean there were no classified missions. It's plausible that one of the Surveyor probes was really a rock-gathering mission. The press wouldn't report anything that went against the official version if any amatuer astronomer were to try to report something.

The surveyor probe was tiny, something much larger would be required to bring back 800lbs of rocks and the Russians would have reported it even if the American press did not.
A secret huge robotic mission would have required collusion of tens of thousands of people in aerospace contracting companies. Nasa made no hardware itself remember. There is no evidence of any such mission.
There is however huge evidence that actual space-ready hardware was built and flown with men in it.

Science does not work like this. The findings of scientists are not communicated via the government but are published in peer-reviewed journals. None of the scientists who examined the rocks doubt their authenticity. They are covered with tiny micrometeorite impacts and can only have come from a place with no atmosphere.

The integrity of the spacesuit was all ready tested in programs like Gemini and the previous Apollo missions. We had the spacesuit stuff down- that knowlage was in the can already. Buzz practically invented the EVA-He was the man you wanted to test the suite on the surface for the first time. I'm sure he wasn't being reckless in fact the both of them were very tentative if you compare their behavior to the other astroauts in the missions that followed.

And if I may adjust the comment I made yesterday- 'going to the moon in my eyes is "a big deal" I was just making a point that it certainly was doable in the 1960s. The advent of the computer age and the perfection of the rocket engine is what made us land on the moon; and this colmination occured in the sixties. 40 years later we haven't returned for financial reasons and this is what caused the whole problem.All the other technology involved was already rutine.Going to the moon was not a big deal-The SaturnV rocket was the miracle machine that did the hard part.
