i wasn't a believer of adhd until my newphew was told he has it. he's definitely much more active then other kids. cant sit still and concentrate unless he's enjoying whatever he's doing. but i don't think medication should be the answer

In my opinion, ADHD is real. (I'm an adult, and I have it) But at the same time, a lot of it is bullshit. It's often used as an excuse for bad parenting, or an excuse for a child simply acting like a child is programmed to act! They put kids into subordinate artificial environments and expect them to behave perfectly. They eat garbage processed food and don't get exercise. It's all about pushing speed onto children, when other much healthier treatments have been shown to be more effective.

Our minds and bodies are not adapted to sitting in quiet rooms for hours and concentrating on paperwork. Our social structure is what needs help, not our children.

You're not quite right, adhd does exist. But only in about ten % of people. See most people come from ancestors who were farmers, with a steady and consistent use of energy, not getting too excited, was the desired personality temperament that was selected. Whereas hunters were bred to be hyper alert and use their energy in intense bursts. I've always been different than most people and I know adhd is real.

My kids have ADHD so I know it is NOT a bullshit diagnose. If you had ever come into contact with children with ADHD you would know that it's not about having them sitting in a quiet room hours on end concentrating on paperwork, but rather being able to interact with "society" in a fairly normal manner. You are however right about the real problem being our social structure, i.e. people like you not being open minded and smart enough to realize that this is a real disease.

i'm 14 years old and i have ADHD.
people didn't noticed it at first but when i was about 12 years old it started to become heavier.
Now i take Relatine and it helps a lot. i used to have grades around 6 (C-) and now my grades are around 8.5 (B+)
so please don't make fun of it.
