Whoa 79titch, calm down. I wasn't that critical, & I even thanked the dj for sharing this mix. There's a difference between your 20 secs, and the same sounds repeating for 3 min. 2--3 min is ok if the intro is creative enough but not all mixes are equal and I've heard many that are repeatative & boring.True, a build up is essential, but not everyones ears need 3 or even more than 1 min to "get into" a mood or song. And if an intro is 20 sec long it doesn't mean its "crap" (if it's good enough).
It's true this sounds very "lounge", which I like very much. But I was starting to think this was also a Dub mix cause I didn't hear the main lyrics kick in until 3:27, and that annoys me all to heck. Any intros that last longer than a minute just gets on my nerves, no matter what type/style of mix it is. Still, having said that this is a respectable attempt. Thanks for sharing this.
@tubefan10 Dude - dance music is all about the build-up; the progression of the track from start to finish. The first 3 minutes sets the mood before the lyrics take it to another level. There's plenty of crap out there where the lyrics kick in after 10-20 seconds if you're that offended.
pure pleasure
