  • Wicked I Love his work in Maniac 1981

  • Is it just me, or does he really look like Glen Benton (Deicide vocalist)? If you aren't sure, watch a Glen Benton and this one back-to-back.

  • @joserpm Man I never noticed that. If Tom Savini had an inverted cross on his head that'd be him

  • im sure there are days he can be an ass like the rest of us but...gotta give him props. the guy tries to help out his hometown area (pittsburgh area) instead of just being 'Mr. hollywood' ya know. besides his new haunted house was great i heard, it's called 'donora' lmao ok, bad joke. but i heard the century 3 mall terrormania was good.

  • I heard Tom Savini is an asshole in real life.

  • @YanksR5: You heard wrong

  • Tom is a great guy, a bit sarcastic and pretty fidgity at times. At times you cant fault him for being a bit short after 3 day long fanatical conventions full of a fair amount of fanatical, nut-job, pseudo stalker types. Tom has a bit of ADHD and it certinly shows. Ive known Tom for a long time and he's either on 10 or totaly out of it. A very passionate guy who certainly does love his fans, but as a friend I know he can be a bit short at times with anyone.

  • I think that Tom Savini probably is really, really shy. No one knows what's going on inside another person's head.

  • Savini is pretty cool when he is not being hounded. As soon as he thinks that he is being hounded by a fan, he turns rude and cold. Just an observation after having interacted with Tom on several different occasions in several different contexts. He's human like us.

  • @rolandsteph I am going to meet him soon and what should I compliment on him without hounding him. I don't want to piss off the master.

  • @freddy3911 Just tell him what of his work you like. As long as you're cool he should be fine. Anyone can get grumpy at a convention so just try not to be overly annoying and it should be fine.

  • @DrunkenZombiePodcast OK. Thank you. I am also going to give him a role for a movie I plan to make.

  • I've been addicted to Horrorhound magazine for the past two months.I have practically all of their back issues and the last issue #15. I recently subscribed and got #16.

  • It's amazing how nice and personable he is when he knows he's on camera. Try approaching him at a convention sometime....you'll see what a fucking asshole this guy truly is.

  • Tom Savini is too shy of a person to do coventions, I don't know why he does them. Once you get to know the man he's lovely but he takes a while to warm up to people and this projects as him being an asshole in many situations.

  • How can he possibly "warm up" to someone when he won't even acknowledge their presence? When he is sitting all alone at his booth, nobody around for a 20 foot radius, and you are standing directly in front of him. All you do is clamly say "Hi Mr. Savini", and he promptly puts his nose in the air and turns his head.

  • peoplehe hes an asshole cuz he doesnt look at youand stuff..but it just seems he has kind of an anxiety

  • children? haha Jason Voorhis, the killers from the burning and maniac? what kind of children are those? who was the mother? Hillary Clinton?

  • best FX dude eva! he is the father of FX violence. without him, no SAW series and stuff.

  • I met him in Baltimore MD and he was cool. He signed a couple of my movies and didn't charge me. Everyone else charged $5 or more for a signature. Hell ken foree from dawn of the dead/leatherface charged $10. Sick!!!

  • People charge for signatures? What the hell? Screw that.

  • Yeah i agree. They should sign for free. But thats hollywood for ya.

  • @residentvania I think the reason why they charge for signings is because the film businesses want to make the maximum profit out of the actors and it's usually their agents who tell the actors how much fans will pay for their autographs, where it's not the actors themselves who decide how much they charge for autographs. That is what my dad told me.

  • i totally agree with you I went to a convention and most of them charged $20 an autograph luckily I got two (thanks dad!).

  • I highly doubt there will ever be a horror convention in my area.I live in Ohio and the closest arena is in Huntington,West Virginia.Tom Savini rules.

  • hey rockdude--the are a few cons by you. I also live in Ohio and vend at two cons not too far away...Cinema Wasteland in Strongsville, Ohio and Horrorhound Weekend in Indianapolis. Plus there is a new con, Motor City Nightmares, this month in Novi, Mi.

  • Yeh Alot of people say Tom is not nice but i met him the last two Horrorhounds and he was always nice then!
