in the first 2 minutes Dr. Caldicott cuts to the chase and lays out the problem with the problem with people who don't believe in Global Warming...that it's not a matter of "belief" its a scientific consensus. How people, in fear, tend to become superstitious, like in the dark ages. I see this with all the 2012 end of the world propaganda, hype, conspiracy theorists, religious nutballs...etc. Dr. Helen Caldicott has been a steadfast opponent of Nuclear power and we need her now more than ever!

So wait, she's against the tea party but she is for OWS? I though they basically wanted the same things. Global warming and history lessons.. huh? I thought she was going to talk about Fukushima.

She makes some good points against the military and I agree with much of it, but man this woman sounds very anti-capitalist/socialist.

Global warming due to humans is bogus. The earth goes through natural warming and cooling processes... has very little to do with humans.

But theres no definative proof that weather is being change by us or not. I know where I live in massachusetts we used to be part of a big ice sheet durring the ice age. And the glaciers carved out the land. I also learned that Massachusetts used to be connected to africa where supposidly it was a part of a desert and a rainforest from what they can tell. So I think the more better question is do we cause this or is this something we have already lived through as a speicies? Hard to tell.

I do know that the earth has heating and cooling periods I dont know how much of it is due to humans or not. I have read all sorts of scientist on both sides of the isle on this debate. The scientist who oppose say we dont have a long enough record of the earth to tell what its natural paterns are makes sence. Not beliving in climate change is igonoring the facts. Wether or not humans have a big impact on it has yet to be seen or proven to an exact thing. Theres alot of therories both ways...
