That's not ASL. It is more like SEE. "BIG success" is not a correct way to interpret the concept of very successful. It would be confusing. And "We do what we must" was interpreted with the sign for "action" or "do" except that it is signed incorrectly. It was signed with the wrong movement. It then looked like the sign for Chemistry.

That's just a few mistakes in the first few sentences. Didn't waste time watching the rest.

As for aperture, it looks to me like he simply abbreviated the finger-spelling, which is commonly done with longer, more unfamiliar words in which we care more about the meaning, or just getting it out of the way, rather than the spelling, Just like how lots of people abbreviate words in text messages. That's just my take on it.

By the way, I've always thought about the like/dislike system. What happens when you 'dislike' something? Because those people might not have thought the cake was real, they just might have not liked this vid as much as some of the other ones.

That's the problem with such a system. It's so black and white, hate and love. No room for 'I don't love it, but it wasn't bad.' or 'It's good, but not as good as the rest of your vids.'

@merpzilla nah, ASL is grammatically different from English. Kinda like French and such. A literal translation looks weird to us English speakers, but it's understood differently. Plus, translations of songs are more artistic than literal in order to communicate things like mood and rhyme.
