I know no prettier duet nor any more beautiful version of it than this one by Dam-Jensen and Semmingsen. I have listened to every one I can find on the internet and I think this one surpasses all--including Sutherland's. I also like Sumi Jo's and Ah Kyung Lee's. Theirs is different, but also beautiful.

Lord... After a year of preforming this in chorus, I still remember the lyrics. Its still so wonderful. For all of you who are wondering about the lyrics, its two girls in a boat going down a river, something about a smooth current of water and laughing flowers. Sorry if its incorrect but thats all I remember. The point is, this song is so wonderful to sing AND listen to! It makes me want to learn French.

However, I must recognize the harmony arrangements (quinte/straight et/and tierce/third) in this piece are exquisit.

Incroyable. I have to believe that the scans can sing better than anyone I am half danish myself although I only speak french and english. But every time I have the power of the scandinavian singer I have been amazed. This beats any version I have ever heard, including the Joan Sutherland.

I like this version more than the Netrebko/Garanca one - the sound seems juicier, there is also more chemistry between them. The soprano is remarkable and the alto does not overpower her.
