Does anybody know exactly why they want to remove Maliboomer? It's not because it doesn't get riders; I've always seen a whole bunch of ppl on it every time I went!

Plus the Jellyfish drop ride, which is like30 or 40 feet away, is exactly like Maliboomer only it's smaller and slower and generally for kids afraid to try Maliboomer.

GRR and Screamin are NOT going anywhere. And as of now, neither is the Maliboomer--it would cost too much to remove.

The new entrance will be Los Angles of the 1920s, when Walt first came to California. Its a tribute to HIS California Adventure..

And the Mermaid ride will be part of Paradise Pier, and they already have Triton's carousel and the Ariel restaurant, so it fits the seaside boardwalk theme.

The park will still be about California, I assure you. :)

Whew! I'm glad Maliboomer isn't going away! I guess the Mermaid ride's ok, but I wish they hadn't removed the Golden Dreams theater...

If they really do change the entrance, (still think it's a big mistake) couldn't they simply move the GG bridge and the old entrance to another part of the park? Maybe like where the fisherman's wharf area is? The Monorail wouldn't go through it anymore but at least it would still be around...

the sun is already off the sun wheel, the mickey ears are gone, and the golden dreams theater has just started to convert to the little mermaid ride. the muppets will probably be removed, but i doubt now that it will be turned into narnia. the other stuff is planned. theyre doing this to get a better image of the park and make it seem more disney, whereas before, the rides didnt have disney quality, etc. if you ask me, slapping images of mickey everywhere doenst make it more disney.

It was not supposed to be a mirror of Disneyland's MK, it was supposed to be a different park, celebrating California. That's why it was called Disney's "CALIFORNIA" Adventure.

I agree with you, plastering up Mickey and Goofy everywhere doesn't make it more Disney-ish; especially if they remove all the CA landmarks to do it!

Speaking of landmarks, please tell me they haven't taken out the GG bridge or the pretty entrance yet!

I personally don't care too much for the removal of the Golden Gate Bridge. I think it should've been left there. I'm from the Bay Area, but the Golden Gate Bridge IS a landmark and state figure. Other than that, I understand the decision to remodel the park. It's confusing, a tad boring and overall, a mess.

Need to update the video. There are a number of claims that are no longer true and some of your timing is off for some of the projects. Also, it is YOUR opinion that Pressler messed up the park. You don't know the backstory, so to make such a claim is bogus. Using this same argument about DCA then how do you explain the major mistakes made with all 3 of the parks added over the years in Florida? And they are still trying to fix many of those mistakes. Great video though.

Well, the people at DCA have no idea whether the main guests like the idea of the renovation. They think that perhaps after phase 1, people won't want more changes and if that happens, they won't carry out phase 2. If people do like the changes, they will carry out phase 2, and yes, they are doing it chunk by chunk. And, they have already started the renovation with the new Toy Story ride. By the end of the year, I hear that Para. Pier lagoon will be drained.

I think they are starting with Paradise Pier, and from there, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure Cars Land will be the last thing. The only land they're turning out of a parking lot is Cars Land (Get it? Cars Land will be made of a parking lot?) I think Phase 2 is the last half of planned things, like the re-theming of the entrance, little mermaid, and Cars Land.

@cdgunzz97 You mean World of Colour? I went and saw it with my dad on vacay, it is so awesome! But we they give U a colour and that's the area U have to stand, we were is red, so we didn't have the best view, but it was still cool! Also, we sat right at the front, in the "Splash Zone" lol
