By default I am ignorant? You don't know what kind of degrees I have. There was a machine count, and a hand re-count which involved cherry picking absentee ballots. The margin is 200 with hundreds if not thousands of votes that should have been counted in limbo. Everyone does not agree. (where do you get your numbers doctor?) Al Franken will lose when all votes are counted.
Genus, I will bet my education (formal and otherwise) is more advanced than yours. And many more like myself (with advanced degrees) voted for Norm Coleman. In fact when all the votes are counted he will win.
Franken is cherrypicking what he wants counted and what he does not. After the election night he called on Coleman to be patient and make sure every vote is counted. Take your own advice.
Coleman is cherrypicking what he wants counted and what he does not. After the election night he called on Franken to resign even though the recount was automatic. Take your own advice.
Franken, Obama...Wow America, democracy may have some flaws in it....Can a system that allows a failed comedian and radio host to rise to the level of the Senate be allowed to continue unchecked? Can a system that allows an unaccomplished one half term senator from the most corrupted state in the union rise to the level of commander and chief of our Armed Forces, simply because he is a minority. If Barack was Barry Smith, he would be voting to impeach Blago back in Chi town right now.
Regarding the missing ballots... it has, in fact, been proven that an envelope containing 133 ballots from Minneapolis Ward 3 Precinct 1 was lost prior to the recount. These votes could not be recounted, so the original count made on election day was assumed to be correct. You would only "gain over 40 votes if these ballots were ignored.
Do you have any evidence that different standards were applied to the counting of absentee ballots among precincts/counties during the recount? Quite the opposite - the criteria for rejecting absentee ballots were extremely clear and straightforward - every polling area certified their absentee ballot counts after a process that was overseen by your own observers. You have provided no examples of absentee ballots that were treated improperly.
Do you have any evidence that these hypothetical ballots would have more likely been votes for you? No - your own theory refers to ballots that were duplicated due to technical glitches (ballots not being read properly) - events which were, in fact, distributed fairly randomly and evenly.
Do you have any evidence of the existence of duplicate ballots? No - this is just a hypothetical explanation for why only one copy of a ballot could be found in some cases when a duplicate had been made on election day. Other, more plausible, explanations would not have resulted in double counting; still others would have resulted in under-counting.
And Please, Norm. If you can read this...quit the babyish antics, grow up, and admit a loss. I remember you asking Al Franken back in November not to challenge the results because you were ahead in the polls.
Shoe ain't so good on the other foot, is it?
Seriously, the Republican party has finally come to a dusk...This is the age of Liberalism, as you shall see.
Al was born in New York, went to school here (in wealthy private schools) left here at age 18, never came back. Norm has lived here 32 years, raised his family and children. Norm is the real Minnesotan, he has almost double the years of Minnesota that the carpetbager Franken has.
So, Al's home state is New York, get your facts straight, don't make up lies.
incorrect, where you spend your formative years dictates where you are "from", so Al is a Minnesotan. He now reside in Minneapolis, so learn to deal with it.
Can you point me to this universal definition? Regardless, Norm Coleman has spent more of his life in Minnesota than Al Franken, actually double the time. Norm Coleman is more "Minnesotan" than Al Franken could ever hope to be.
He was born and raised in New York, so he's not a Minnesotan according to you. So that's you being dishonest right there.
He supported killing 94,000 in Iraq and 6,400 of our own, he is a "lifelong" democrat but switch when Karl Rove pulled his strings, so by default he is an anti american.
Coleman is washed up, he lost the vote count and that means Minnesotans are against him ruining the State any further.
Coleman is more Minnesotan than Franken ever could be.
Coleman did not support killing anyone - didn't even vote on the war. To your logic, Hillary, Edwards, Reid, and Kerry supported killing 100,000+ - they actually voted to go to war.
Coleman is not going anywhere - Franken was the washed up failed radio host, tax cheat, carpetbagger who will be back in New York soon after all the votes are counted.
Coleman supported Iraq, so he has massive BLOOD on his hands... no wonder he LOST.
"From the start, Coleman was a strong supporter of the war in Iraq and the War on Terror. He has been a consistent supporter of the war over the past several years, and generally tended to agree with the positions of the Bush Administration on Iraq."
Facts are facts... Coleman is a blood thirsty crook, there is no way around it...
a word to the wise, Coleman doesn't have the votes, end of story - best to exit gracefully than to try and argue against something you cannot win. tnoy34rt is "mostly" right in his / her comments.
With a 200 vote margin and 4,000 votes being considered as evidence, it is anyone's election. If your hero Franken were behind now he would be fighting the same fight. When all votes are counted Coleman will win.
I wonder what George Galloway thinks of all this? I bet he would LOVE to give your school boy antics a little bit of, oh, let's just say a verbal ass whoopin!
I'm so embarrased at times to say that I'm a Minnesotan. It is hard enough that I have to live in a beautiful state with all these liberal morons. Wasn't Jesse Venture enough, why do we need another D list celebrity to be elected in this state. Coleman clearly won, it was that moron Franken who cost us money and embarrasement. No wonder the sign for the dem party is a jackass, there seems to be plenty in that group!!!!
It is in true democratic form to recount and assure the winner of this race. Unfortunately, for you, that has been done over and over for the past two months. Asking for another recount seems like not only a waste of time and resources but tax payer money. If you truly care more about Minnesota you will consider the effects of the economy and the current discord on your states government. Realize that Min. cannot afford to pander to your ego and let go gracefully.
I don't care much for religious people, but Al Franken would be the most wretched and sleazy person to hold office in the United States, so I fully support Coleman in this election.
Senator, thank you for standing by what is right. The canvassing board is aware of over 25 precincts in which duplicate results have been counted and accepted during the recount and others where the recount results were thrown out without just cause. The law states that recount results in such circumstances are invalid and subject to a legal recount or else a special election re-vote.
Someone let Coleman know the votes were already counted and he already lost. We don't need another torture supporter or someone so deep in the pockets of big business in Washington, your time has expired you are the weakest link goodbye.

Yeah, lost after votes were double counted and the Courts threw out votes for him after they allowed the same type of votes for Franken to be counted.
Ya the several judges and bi-partisan vote counters were probably all working against the republican party. The conspiracy is so huge I wouldn't ever go outside anymore, THEY'RE LISTENING TO US!
How about the fascist openly pro-Bush department of justice not finding problems with the ballot counting? Unless you can get the federal government to jump in, as Bush could have done, Franken is our winner.

LMFAO Fascist, you really have no clue what a fascist is do you? Furthermore Franken might "win" but he didn't win the election. Don't worry, when Jesus Christ Obama manages to get our country attacked by terrorists we'll win the seat back along with many more. The clock is ticking, he's already torn down evil America's "Fascist" defenses.
Funny how a missed comma can change the context entirely. Rocketsfan34, are you calling people to fight Coleman, or are you cheering Coleman on to victory?
Hey Norm. How about a re-match with Mr George Galloway MP. I would say time for round two but you were knocked out in the first.
Pretty embarassing for you wasn't it!
Perhaps you should look at the videos to reflect on how you might make it as a seasoned politician.
