And u can tell its a v6 when he rams it up. And I think I would know because I know how they sound when u ram them up because like I said I have one.

@Backyardmech1 if i remember correctly,(specs are somewhere in my earlier comments) i believe it was a 227/234 .478/.480 112lsa lunati cam this cam is great for n/a applications as well as f/i, i had a blower on the truck when i installed this cam. and i believe after tuning it made somewhere around 315-320rwhp at 7lbs boost

@locoforever1000 yes the cel comes on. 9 times out of 10 it wil especially with this size cam. it sets off the knock sensor. easily fixed with hp tuners. as for hp gains i coulda had more with a diff cam but i wanted the sound + performance so i picked a cam that was half way between n/a and f/i.... thx preciate it

I am doing the 270 cam swap in my 97 s-10 this winter break. Im guessing thats what cam you have. And it sounds good. People dont realize that your in a power wash station so the sound reverberates off the wall and makes it really loud. Thats prob why they are thinking your lying. But yea you can deff tell its a v6. It sounds really good and seems like you did good work. Good job. Once i get my swap done in about a month ill post up vids and you can take a look at em if you care.

if you run a huge cam in an engine without the heads, intake carb exhaust and compression to support it you actually loose power

a cam as what lifts the valves letting gas and air into the engine. Bigger cams lift the valves further, opening them wider, thus letting more air and gas in. thats why is sounds like it's bubbling.

i passed tx state inspection.. at a light the brakes get a lil soft cuz of low vaccum.. no biggie ... had to change springs and do a lil head work...nothing major.. and yes u have to tune it..
