How do you activate the station sounds I got the same mth train ??

i just sold my DCS ready mth N&W j class #611 passenger set from 2008 to complete some of my other postwar lionel sets but it had the same sounds setup drive wheels and it had one hell of a fan driven smoke unit have you used yours yet? on your daylight i dont know if your useing transformer or dcs command but if your just useing a standerd lionel or mth transformer hold the whistle for 5 to 8 seconds and you will hear a nice refleix sound of the whistle come see my lionel train sets! ! ! ! !

@Tex24Whiskey i know what you mean and lionel realy is only hurting them self thats why i like lionel prewar and postwar train sets but i now hear lionel and mth are working together now so if you see a new lionel train set and it says it has proto sounds and or proto smoke units that a train set made from lionel and mth i think that a good thing but thats not going to save us any money one thing i can say about mth has a great proto setup but lionel has better looks to there trains

technically those sets including the class j are called bantam engine because there so stubby.

Are you sure its not a DCS equipped engine? I have a N&W J1 Set just like yours and its DCS equipped. If you want a quality MTH train get their Railking line or their Premier line.

they used the same shell for the N & W set and the whistle personaly sucks

dude lionel is crap compared to mth and it is dcs any railking works with dcs i have railking and lionel and lionel is crap

Hey the mth railking locos are DCS proto sound 2.0 they are just in a less detail and size of a train
