i always found a way to the pocket with this ball..and found success with it... but like all ebonite balls...it started hitting, and carrying less and less with more games...
Well one way without getting into the cats system is using single pc of tape and counting the revs the ball makes the whole way down the lane, using a camera in slow motion. You than need to time the ball as sharp as possible from release to when it hits the pin deck. After take the revs you counted and divide by the time is seconds. You'll have revs per second, just multiply by 60 to get minutes. Not the most accurate way but it puts you somewhere.

Rev rate looks like 430-450 to me. At kegel during the king of bowling event Chris Barnes was tracked at about 400, Bill oneil was around 415 and wes malott was 395 if that helps at all.
I just used the hot water bath method last night to clean up my playmaker. Its reaction was getting a bit sloppy. the surface of it feels fantastic again! I can't wait to get it to the lanes and kick the shit out of the pins! I wish I had the ball speed you get man! You have a serious rev rate too! I just need to get my accuracy and my mental game a bit more in check. I've been studying and practicing so much but I want to really nail things down more by next month. Intramural coming up!
I love my 15# playmaker! Awesome ball! One thing is that mine doesn't quite kick as strong as yours due to my release being a bit less powerful than yours. How on earth to you crank that thing so much? I am more of a tweener myself and I can still get it to react really well but wow, you kick that thing like crazy! The only thing is I was wondering if you still use a free arm swing because it looks a bit muscled near the bottom. Even if it is muscled, damn the result is devastating!
Anyone else notice the ball hits a bump in the lane about 25 feet down lane?? When the camera angle is at the floor you can see the ball lift up a little. Kinda funny, I am sure that cant lead to consistent ball reaction.
Hey! i just got my Playmaker in.. its 15Lbs and has a 2-3" pin and i think 2Oz top weight.. it rolls almost identicasl to yours.. i must note that we have similar shots to.. you throw it faster though
np man! thats what i thought when i watched this video cuz ure video with the complete nv it doesnt look as strong.. but like i didnt know cuz all the websites say the complete nv is stronger, but I dont know
