  • Hey Ms V, I'm loving your channel. Its very insightful & hee~larry~us...LOL!! I wanted to know if you could do or add a video on Argan oil. I personally did some research but really didnt find that much info on the benefits.

  • Lol you are so funny, thanks for the info! I just started using castor oil today

  • Wht kind of brush is that little white thing called?

  • I just bought the castor oil today, but before I start it I wanted to know how long do you keep it in for?

  • idk if someone asked this, but i didn't feel like looking lol. Do you know if taking Castor oil pills have the same effect on hair?

  • Ok... I really love that scarf... and if I don't win, I would totally like to know how to make it... sooooo can you do a vidjo for it!?!? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease???

  • who pressed don't like?? what's not to like? u r so funny and very informative...thanks :^)

  • I was somewhat skeptical about using castor oil on my fine hair, but thank you for explaining why castor oil can help our hair grow, etc. I applied a little to my scalp this past weekend and my hair feels great. Thanks again.

  • I'm sure this has been asked before but what is the difference between this castor oil and a Jamaican black caster oil?

  • @Neza006 Check the info box of this video! The only difference she said is the cost & smell & I guess the colour :)

  • @Augustlady77 I got one from Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens, maybe even Sallys it's made by conair.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the clips that MsVcharles has in her hair!! I've been looking like crazy!

    Great video and personality MsV...

  • Thanks for such an informative video. Headed to Whole Foods now to pick up castor oil for my natural hair.

  • Ok cool, my question how many oils can u use on your hair, i have been using EVOO like rachel ray says so far and i wanted to add another but i dont want my hair to be over producted with oils u know what i am saying

  • @juspeak I personally use about 4 different oils...all for different reasons though. Next week I will be doing a series on different oils and what they do for your hair. =)

  • First of all, your videos always crack me the heck up!!! Anywhoo... My grandmother and mother SWORE by castor oil for YEARS! It's a remedy that our family has always used. I use it even MORE now since I've gone back to my natural state. It does work wonders! I just never really knew WHY it worked so well. Thanks for the video!

  • lol @ 0:45

  • u have lil white strands like i do... right at the front of my head...

  • Thanks for the vid... Be Blessed!!

  • "Now the sun is beaming all up in my face, I got strips all up on my face, now there it goes. It's fading, it's fading" LOL Love You! SUBBED!

  • @2009Jen2010 Haha...thanks and welcome! =)

  • thank u so much for letting us know what castor oil actually does. you are the first person i've heard it from

  • @naturalblackcocoa No problem and glad I could help. =)

  • hey there!!! where do you get your hair clips from? I notice yours dont have teeth that dig into the scalp! Love the videos!!!

  • I plan on trying castor oil after I get done with my Oyin Sugar Pomades. Castor oil is one of the first ingredients in them and I hope to have the same results as Oyin.

  • Lol...luv it!

  • Another great video. Thanks.

  • @MsV, My hair lovessss castor oil. Thank you V for making this video. The kimmaytuve leave- in is wonderful too. I can't wait to take out my yarn braids going on 6 weeks now, to wash my hair. I miss my curls... :). My hair has grown out so much.......... !

  • Thanks for this video!

  • Very educational. I started to use Rosemary and castor oil combination. I did overdose on the oil during the week and found that it was coming off on my pillow cases (yuck). So I'll definitely try it on wet hair. Thanks a bunch. :)

  • Good info.

Did you make that scarf? Love the color.

  • @ayanaglaze Haha..no worries, I saw both of your comments!

  • Love your personality!! Thanks for the info and your teeth are flawless! Starting castor oil use today

  • thanks for the video, I use castor oil for my two daughters and myself. It's really heavy for their hair so I mix it with a little Africa's Best oil and it works great.

  • what's the difference between this castor oil and black castor oil?

  • @SultrySunflower No difference beside color and smell

  • I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but when I looked at the ingredients for castor oil I was a bit upset. It seems unnecessary to use mink oil. I'm just going to stick with olive oil.

  • @Czathero It sounds to me that what you are reading is NOT a bottle of unrefined castor seed oil. In fact the bottle that I have in my hands right now reads:

    INGREDIENT: Castor Seed Oil.

  • @MsVcharles Well then, I guess it's time for me to hunt for some PURE castor seed oil.

  • very helpfull information! Thnkx! :)

  • I love your energy!!!!!!

  • Can you add the castor oil to the leave in conditioner? I use Giovanni Direct Leave in

  • @wreckincrew92 Yes if you would like

  • Could you do a vid on olive oil plz?

  • Never been more honored to be called a HomeSkilletto in all my natural born days lol! Thx for this video AND detailed description box cause I been holding out to get the JBCO but wasn't sure of the differences...if any:)) Thx...e

  • Now I gotta but some Castor Oil.... Damn damn damn Ms. V (Recovering Product Junky) lol 3

  • Ms V, Thank u for responding! Yes, I mixed everything just as u showed. I did notice that it wasn't as many, after using the kt leave in, but nevertheless they are still there :-( which results in poofy twist outs. I typically have to do the 2 strand or flat twists smaller than I like..and no matter how much I twirl them at the ends... They say pooooof, Im still here! Btw, I luv luv luv your vids, you are so thorough in everything that you teach! Keep up the good work and keep em comin!

  • @MsVCharles Well shut the front door. Keep doing what you're doing because it's definitely working lol

  • Thanks for this video. I just bought some, but I wasn't exactly sure how to incorporate it into my regimen because it's so thick.

  • @kcat200 Yes a little goes a long way.

  • I recently purchased a bottle of Jamaican Black Castor oil and have been using it to seal the moisture into my hair. Since I've been natural I've only used evoo or coconut oil on my hair. But I've heard such great things about castor oil, i had to give it a try. So your video came right on time, thanks for sharing.

  • ...so just to be sure, you do this once a week? would you recommend using shea butter as a sealant after the kimmay tube mix? thanks and don't think I haven't noticed the length;-)

  • @thebabyk7 Yes I do this once a week. And yes, you can use butters as sealants as well.

  • Thanks for showing This! :-)

  • awesome channel i love ur videos my mommy sent me~ nevaeh21ful~ god bless

  • @KADYKC How cool! Thank you guys so much! =)

  • thanks, miss v

  • Do you ever use the CAstor oil alone? IT seems too thick. I only use it in my Kimmaytube leave in. I know a lot of people swear by it to seal there ends, maybe I will revisit it for that. Your hair always looks nice and moisturized!

  • @godsflame2 Yes I do...if you fwd the video to 2:16 I demonstrate how I apply it

  • @MsVcharles Okay I watched the entire vid..not sure how I missed that. Okay, so you put it on top of the leave in.immediately after so your hair is still wet. Okay I may try that.

  • Great info., thanks.:)

  • GIRL!!!! THATS THE SAME CASTOR OIL I USE...my mom was like thats not the castor oil to use on your hair...i was like, hmmm Ima use ti anyways...thanks for this video...ill show her later. LOVE IT GIRL

  • THANK FOR THE INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE VIDEO.

  • Good info

  • Very informative! Thanks :)

  • I forgot to mention they are 2 strand twists **duh**

  • Good Job MsV, I didn't know that about Castor Oil, I'm going to use it too....

  • Thank u for the Kimmaytube leave in recipe. I used it and it helped tremendously! I have a ? about ends that wont quite twist like the beginning of the twist. I have trimmed my ends also. What could I be doin wrong.. Some twists end up just poofy at the end **sad face** anyone's response is absolutely welcomed! Thanks!

  • @Kshcrowley I remember when KimmayTube posted her video...she mentioned that puffy ends were the results of the hair cuticles not laying down. What exactly are you putting into your mix? Are you adding different things or are you using the exact recipe?

  • Thanks to everyone who anwered my question about why you should refrigerate the kimmytube leave in conditioner.

  • what about jbco? PS loved you when you came to Atlanta

  • @Kaymance1 Yes you can use that one as well. Aw thanks it was great! =)

  • Thanks for the information Vee!! I am definitely going to start using castor oil more often :)

  • You are so pretty and so is your hair. Thanks for the info. My hair is super dry i need these type of videos.

  • @msgeminagee No prob and thanks! =)

  • Hi Ms Vee! Thanx for the info! Your hair is Beauteeefulll gal!:-P

  • What do you think of 'west Indian castor oil'?

  • @somanywishes Ive never used it...I really dont know much about it. Sorry. =/

  • @somanywishes Wait a minute...are you speaking of JBCO? I have used that as well and really enjoy it.

  • I know this is random, but your eyebrows are BANGIN!

  • @Discernaoftruth Thanks...check out my vids #60-62 for my makeup (I think those are the vid numbers...lol)

  • I have just found your channel. I stayed up all night watching as many videos as I could. My husband thought I had lost my mind, but I have been Entertained and informed. Love both you and your family. You stho crazy rofl.

  • @MsBigbama Haha...thank you soooooo much for the love! =D

  • oh never mind spoke to soon

  • Where do you buy your oils?

  • My hair so loves Castor Oil.. it is the perfect sealant!! Thank you for the scoop on the JBCO vs Reg Castor oil.. at one point I was everywhere trying to figure out what the big hype was about. I mean if I can get a cousin to bring some up from JA ok if not I will not pay these CRAZY prices for a 4oz bottle!

  • Love your videos

  • Great video! Very informative! :)

  • Oh..a question I've been wondering about. I remember a while ago you stating that you know Sign Language. Is 'V' your namesign?

  • @xandria20 Haha...I cant believe you remember that...lol. Well to be honest it is and its not...lol. The reason this started is because I used to do the Peace sign with the back of my hand showing until a few of my viewers overseas told me that is how they sign "the middle finger". So I listened to their advice and turned my hand palm out.

  • @xandria20 Now as for the "V"...my sign name is really stupid so I am looking to create a new name (lol). However I do hold up the "V" when introducing myself to people. You'd be suprised at how many people call me "B" when I say they can call me "Vee"...lol

  • I’m sooo torn…I hear a lot of good things about castor oil, but then I found this on Terressentials website: castor oil (castor beans yield the biotoxin ricin) :( :/ ???

  • @jackalo34 It is important to note that many cosmetic products we are already using contain castor oil...especially facial products...however "ricin is removed from the oil. So it's not likely that one would be exposed to ricin by using a cosmetic product [or castor oil]". -greenlivingqa

  • @jackalo34 "As far as castor oil is concerned, she [Diana of Terressentials] acknowledged that the danger is not in the using of castor oil, but rather the effects it has on the rest of life and re-reading her website, I did see that she didn't say castor oil was toxic--she said "castor beans yield the biotoxin ricin." -greenlivingqa

  • Thanks for the information V. I've enjoyed using a processed castor oil to seal in the moisture in my hair and have loved the results. Bc I don't want to waste money, I'm waiting for it to run out (I've got less than a 1/4 cup left) and when I get some cold-pressed castor oil I will begin appyling it to my scalp as I've always struggled with scalp issues. Anything that is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial would be my best friend up up there right about now...

  • also be careful with castor oil in the winter time... castor oil is a humectant

  • @swtcarmel1 This is one of those things that I personally question. I would like to do more research on this before I put out info on it. However, I use castor oil year round (2 years+) and my hair is always moisturized and never dried out.

  • @MsVcharles i understand what you mean... I have had times that my hair felt like straw from coconut oil, but not castor oil... some say coconut oil has protein and that is why, but the nutritional facts on my coconut oil says that there are 0 proteins... I have read that castor oil is a humectant and heard many naturals say this, but i have no scientific basis... it is always good to use caution when trying a new products... let me know if you find some facts?

  • my hair seemed to grow faster when i was using castor oil, I looooove castor oil in my hair! when I'd do wash n gos and use that as my sealant it also made my curls pop like no other plus dried soft. I've been out for a few months and can def tell a difference

  • My grannies swore by castor oil. My skin has become super sensitive during the last few years and it seem castor oil is the only thing I can use on my face. I've noticed my eyelashes are thicker. At first, I was worried and had to stalk the internet to glean more info about i! Voluptuous eyelashes = sweet; extra facial hair, not so much!

  • @imacdiva Yes, for a while I was using castor oil as my moisturizer (may go back to using it) and my skin was soooo soft and clear. But a little goes a LONG way...lol

  • Great vid! I tried the kimmaytube leave-in while I was transitioning but it was too heavy for my hair at the time. I think I will revist it now that I'm natural. Thanks for the reminder!!

  • i like those butterfly clips they seem like they wouldn't hurt compared to the regular clips : )

  • Have you tried. Jamacian Black castor oil and if so how does that compare to regular castor oil?

  • @FhrizzBall For me everything is the same except the smell. I dont really care for the scent of the JBCO

  • Cool, didn't know this but I often wondered why. I need that scarf in my life....

  • I have a question it maybe a stupid one but here it is anyway. What will happen to the kimmytube leave in if you don't put it in the frigerator and why do you need to put it in the frigerator!

  • @nakeamorris25 Hi u have to refrigerate it because of the Aloe Vera Juice it will become rancid other wise:-) There r no stupid questions, stupid is not asking what u don't know take care hon:-)

  • @nakeamorris25 The aloe vera juice will go rancid and smell like...well, rotten juice. It probably wouldn't be dangerous in any way, but who wants their hair smelling like rotten juice?

If you just make enough for one or two uses you could use it up before it gets a chance to go bad in which case you could just leave it out at room temperature.

  • @nakeamorris25 You'll have to keep it refrigerated to retard the growth of mold (from aloe vera juice).

  • Hey beautiful another great vid, peace and blessings

  • Thank you for the information!

  • You're kinda goofy, lol, but that's okay :) I didn't think it would be a good idea to put castor oil on my scalp because I thought it would be too oily, but I may try it to see how it goes...

  • @MsFrisco87 Just dont be too heavy handed...a little goes a very long way

  • HAIR TUTORIAL! :)

  • OMG, why are you SO fly! LOL! So glad I found your channel! That Christmas vid really paid off!

  • @lanicert Haha...thanks and welcome! =)

  • Love ya V!! Your vids are so informative ;)

  • I will be trying this!

  • My mom used to use cator oil on my scalp. When I sed to wear braids, she use the brown bottle tho. It funny when go natural sometimes you do old school hair practices. I like to message in my scalp when taking down braids or twistouts. really works

  • Walmart has castor oil

  • vitacost.com sells a 32 oz of castor oil for $10... their shipping is free after $49... they r a great online health food store... i ordered aloe vera gel and some other perishables and they sent it to me in a refrigerated box... awesome cs.

  • LOL @ "home skilettos" You are too adorable sis. Thanks for sharing!!!!!

  • great video! do you tie your ends on your twist outs?

  • @corkscrewakia Haha...no I dont tie my ends...I would NOT recommend doing it either. =)

  • can u blow dry and flat iron with the leave-in and castor oil?

  • @scholarchic When using heat (blow dry and flat iron) I apply my leave-in and replace my castor oil for grapeseed oil or a heat protectant. Grapeseed oil is a natural heat protectant and can withstand heat of up to 420 degrees.

  • I had the biggest problem with retaining moisture until I started using castor oil (and the L.O.C. method). I had to moisturize 2 times a day every day and that still wouldn't keep my hair moisturized. Now my hair stays moisturized pretty much until my next wash day (4-5 days). I'm not sure about using it on my scalp though. My scalp itches now and the only thing I can think of that is doing it is the castor oil.

  • @curlskinksandcoils Yes it would be the castor oil. I read an article explaining this and it mention that it is because the castor oil is detoxing your scalp (from all the checmicals and what not that have been obsorbed into the skin). I experienced this as well for about 1-2 weeks. But now that my scalp is healthier I no longer experience the itching. =)

  • @MsVcharles Thanks for letting me know :) I think I'll stick the itchies out and continue to use it on my scalp.

  • Great vid, V!

  • I love using my JBCO on a freshly washed scalp. I have to mix 1oz of jbco with 1/2oz of grape seed oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. It thins out the jbco and gives me more soothing and purifying benefits for my scalp. It really helps my scalp cuz I've been having some scalp issues such as flakes dryness and itching. And like u V i only use a little and only on wash days. Thanks for explaining the benefits of castor oil. Btw....I actually like the smell of jbco ;)

  • @misstinthehouse Right on! Haha..you are the first Ive come across to say that. But then again its like me liking the smell of newspaper...hmmmmm...lol

  • Soooo... Can I pretty pretty preeeettttyyy PUHLEASE have that scarf?!?!? Or where I can get it ... make it... Whutevah?!?! Thanks!

  • Castor Oil makes my scalp itch, I had to stop using it :(

  • @pearly122009 I read an article explaining this and it mention that it is because the castor oil is detoxing your scalp (from all the checmicals and what not that have been obsorbed into the skin). I experienced this as well for about 1-2 weeks. But now that my scalp is healthier I no longer experience the itching. =)

  • It can also be purchased on Amazon.com

  • God, I love your hair, chica. *Had to pause to comment... I didn't wanna miss that HAIR* XD

  • Do you keep your leave-in mixture in the refrigerator in between uses?

  • @aliandjsmom Yes I do

  • This was so necessary! Thanks!!!!

  • what are those clamps in your hair called? or where can i purchase them? been looking for these clips for a while. Love your videos :-)

  • I have been wanting to ask this question for a while, I hope you can answer it. What about the castor oil at the grocery store? You know, the one that doubles as a laxative? Will that castor oil have the same benefits as the one you use? (This question may seem silly, but I really need to know!)

  • @blacksheep91125 That is not the castor oil you are looking for. You are looking for cold pressed cold processed...used for the skin

  • an esthetician told me that castor oil is a drying oil and thats why its used for oil cleansing and that it would dry my hair out

  • @barbiedefined Everything doesnt work for everyone. Personally I have had no problem and have been using it for nearly 2 years.

  • nice video thanks....btw did you make your scarf and where did you get the pattern...its super cute

  • This came just in time. I just bought a bottle (cuz it was on sale...I know I have a problem = C ) nd didn't know what to do with it. Thnx V.

  • my hair is much thicker since using castor oil but my scalp itches so bad

  • Where did you get thst scarf Omg...its fierce!!!

  • Amen! and Yes Ma'am

  • I've used it and found it to be so thick I'll try it again though

  • @raynlead A little goes a long way. You can also mix it with a thinner oil...maybe that will help?

  • does castor oil stank? lol

  • @MzBubblez2691 No...however the Jamaican Black Castor Oil does

  • @MsVcharles oh ok thanks :)

  • @MzBubblez2691 hey girly, it depends on which brand of jbco you purchase. i recently purchased the "sunny isle" castor oil and it has NO bad smell at all. I love it girl. I think the "tropical" brand is the one that I hear a lot of bad reviews as far as smell. :)

  • @MzBubblez2691 Depends on how you define "stank" LOL. I use Jamaican Black Castor Oil and I really like the scent. Some people (most people actually) don't care for it too much.

  • @MzBubblez2691 stank lol
