Sorry gus6464 the shifters and dura ace derailleur are now working fine. The problem was that on the derailleur there is a washer with a tab that the cable is tightened with. the tab was too long and would not let the derailleur pull all the way out. Filed some off and it's working great. Sram shifters determine the ratio not he derailleur.
I am using Force shifters with dura ace derailleur and cassette. My bike will not shift to high (small cog) gear. The cable has slack in it and the high screw is adjusted all out. Any help.
You cannot use sram shifters with shimano derailleurs because they have different pull ratios. The only things that are interchangeable are the cassette, chain, and crank, and brakes. You have to use sram derailleurs with sram shifters and shimano derailleurs with shimano shifters.
Their shifters are EXPENSIVE. Campy and Shimano both sell very good shifters for less....I'm just complaining really.
