During the years of 1460-61 the country was divided between north and south, the Lancastrians were based in the north (ironically York was the house of Lancasters base) whereas the south of England supported the house of York.
@pixelfibre Such a terrible conflict even by the standards of the Middle ages. The "white rose" won the vast majority of the battles and the country enjoyed a increase in peace and prosperity under Edward IV yet some how they managed to let this slip away......
