yes when you are fighting you need put away all your weapons and have just your fist and then hold X (PS3 i think O) then let go and you will throw sand (but you have to learn it at the villa first

The crusades were around the 11th or 12th century if im correct, so theres a minimum 300 years seperating Ezio and Altair.

The game looks first class though. The general game mechanics were there in the first game, the only thing that ruined it was the lack of a mission variety.

The introduction of an economy in this game is going to be awesome. It'll give you something to work towards once the game is complete, by having weapons and armor to collect.
