How poor are the people on the country-side if they rather move in to the slums in the cities, than stay where they are from? Mind boggling.
They see the luxury of the rich people in the city and figure I want a piece of that also. Cant blame them.
If they would give the workers and farmers better conditions and more respect, perhaps that is part of a solution? Clearly they are desperate if they risk ending up in a favela, but move to the city anyway.

However, don't misunderstand me, I'm not blaming the current generation of Europeans nor am I blaming the ones after the colonialist period, but the European nations(then) did inspire a lot of the blood lust and exploitations of many other groups as well(not just Africans). @chelao I work with the poorest of the poor in America. I know what I am talking about. Inner cities in America are sad realities. The majority of the people there have no respect for life, no interest in school, no hope for a better future. American inner cities are third world, and to deny this is to trivialize the suffering of these people.
