Why not use a Go Pro HD Sports camera? It doesn't have the screen you talked about, but set up and everything is amazing! Check out my video's of me using it on my WRX, only done a few, and only at 960p instead of using the 1080p res the camera can shoot.
Very cool, love all the perspectives, though Some better views showing the road facing forward or directly back would have been nice. Placing cameras on the fenders and roof and such. Anyway, yes indeed, Always wanted to see a nicely edited road/touge/street video from you guys, keep it up!
