  • tu es un type bien merci beaucoup de m'avoir trempé dans mes souvenir de jeunesse vive bwanakeino

  • Ngali, Ngali , Ngali! 1976 was the year and we were all in bell bottom trousers and platform shoes. That was life in Gulu High School (Northern Uganda). The boys would sing the guitar part with own ACHOLI (Northern Ugandan language) words saying: ABAKO NI RUK - RUK, ANYAKA! meaning "I penetrated going ruk-ruk, that girl". Very stupid wording of course, but really "TOP" and enjoyable in our fully inexperienced teenage minds of that time. Long live the beautiful past.

  • guys pse help me as am trying to look for a congolese song with words of haijo haijo which was at peak same time with Ngali of Orchestra le kamale.

  • @MyMukama It is called Ayidjo by Orchestre Les Kamale

  • All this music is available at Melodica on Tom Mboya street just off Ronald Ngala street

  • Aha Bwana Keino! Ngali was like a signature tune on radio Rwanda broadcasting from Kigali on saturday afternoons in the late early 80s! Kamale was in a roll of inspiration in this recording session! Thanx

  • Wonderful tunes, asante Bwanakeino :). Could you be in posession of 'Sama sama' by Kapela? Miss this tunes of my growing up. God bless you for your great taste Mkenya mwenzangu.

  • @bigblakkspider Hi anybody with Les Hi-Fives, Wami Mukayi, Chibila Chibe, Nakolela, Maba ya makasi, Zuwa ya Pamba and Sonya Mwana Likasi. Please share. my email is nzomi2@yahoo.com

  • Bwanakeino, You are awesome buddy. Thanks a million. Your oldies taste is great. These are the tunes that made the 70's and 80s colorfull.

Life would have been very dull without this lingala music. have you notice there is no KASONGO PART 2 at all. i wonder if anyone has it

We had a tone of fun grooving to Mbale and the rest in boarding school. The music brings that time alive just like it was yestarday.

Thanks a milion and God bless.

  • Its a long time,i might be mistaken about bibi mkubwa but thank you so much for the clarification.

  • Anybody has Lovy Longombas music, not the ones with super mazembe.Like Elle,Mokili.

  • Thanks Bwan Keino, the first time I heard this song was from a girl who had just joined our school from Nairobi her name was Betrice Atieno. She used to sing it in class seven 1976-77. Then I was in Sosiani Primary, we could also hear it in 64 Bar wher Ukwala Supemarket is now in a juke box. God bless you Keino

  • This was before Ndombolo era and notice the huge difference. Truly this a golden oldie. Kula musiki!

  • Wonderful Nyboma and Orchestra Les Kamalle. I was having a small radio and always tuned to the shauti ya Kenya in the morning and listen to this music.

  • Excellent!

Good memories from 1976-78 in Segou Mali

  • I did not know that Nyboma has been around for that long. Well, anyway, he has an outstanding takent and good genes too (smile). As for, Vata Mombassa, I met him when he was living in Abidjan and came out with Patricia.

  • Much thanks Mukubwa. Though I have listened and danced Ngali, I had never known the artists. Further, I started knowing Nyboma only when he came out with double-double and later played with Pepe Kalle. I a just amazed by this talent as he is still playing and not long ago with the late Madilu. Merci pour toutes les info.

  • Are you telling that Nyboma was with this Kamale group also? I can't believe. Has this man being around for that long? By the way, could you tell the names of all those played with the famous group Kamale. Thanks a lot.

  • nyboma was with lipua lipua in early 70s before he left to create le kamale around 72 or 73.this song belong to mulembu(dcd1981RIP).unless i forgot these at least the people who made lipua lipua and kamale.nyboma, assaka assasin, vata mombassa, dercy mandiangu, pepe kalle, mulembu, kinzunga rickos, nzaya nzayadio, benazo, mongo ley, lele nsundi etc...

  • Hi,

What was Nyboma singing about in the 1980s hit song-Double Double ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Nyboma had played with so many groups and he is still playing. His latest is with Madilu before Madilu passed away.

  • Wimbo huu ni ya Nkboma. Nina sikia his voice.

  • Havez-vous Houleux Houleux (Soki Vangu et Bella Bella)? Nous nous temoussions a ce son la avec Ngali. Please post it.
