I get the same performance on my single hd5770 OC. I didn't think that games from the dx9 era supported dual gpu's.

I've been looking all over trying to decide on one 5850 or two 5770s. It seems to be a lot of mixed things about them. The 5770s seem to perform slightly higher but if I just get the single 5850, I could always buy another one later.

@Backwardsman97 There are A LOT of problems that people are ranting about over the crossfiring of 5770's. Namely driver issues and game performance issues. If you can get it working its awesome, but again a lot of people are having some problems with the crossfire of these cards specifically.

did you open up console and type fps_max 600 ? Ive got a single 5770 and it hits the 300fps limit on some maps on CS:S! So I used that command and it went up to like 500fps!!

5770's Crossfire'd won't outperform the 5870, it'll get pretty close to the 5850 though.

Look at the benchmarks! it beats the 5870 on quite a few. The 5850 is way behind 2 5770s! Oh and the new ATi drivers keep getting better for Crossfire so it will probably always out do a 5870 now.

You can have aim assist in half life? o.o No, I just have it on the easiest setting. If aim assist were on I'd lock onto targets automatically without moving the mouse; I'm just so pro that I'm fast enough to stay on targets as soon as they appear. =P
