Hey all if you are on 3.1.3 and have baseband 5.12.01 and a iphone 3g then use redsn0w 9.4 to jailbreak pointing it to the 3.1.2 ipsw when asked this will jailbreak it.

also if you are in the uk and you are a o2 payg customer or contract customer ring them up they will factory unlock you iphone free for contract and £15 for payg customers! will try and get a video up of jailbreak asap

Nice! Mine doesn't look nearly this good cuz my Internet sucks! Don't run a slingbox on dsl total waste of money, the upload rate will constantly fluctuate from 600 to as low as 50 kbps which will drop your signal.

AT&T and Sling Media has announced that they're allowing Slingbox to stream over 3G. I'm not exactly sure when, but apparently very soon since they've been working together in optimizing the app since December.

You have to have a SlingBOX connected in your house and a nice internet speed to stream it to your phone plus the $30 bucks from the Iphone APP...remember SlingBox cost about $300 but there not montly fee

probably your home network router is blocking it you may need to port forward so that it gives your slingbox the access, look on the sling media site it has help with trouble shooting. i guess you have set the box up and put the slng id into iphone slingplayer settings ?

I'm not sure if it's just my 3g area but when I installed "voipover 3g" the slingbox started working much better.

Fuck AT&T!! they have other apps that stream live TV.. Masters & US Open both had free apps and streamed live TV coverage that was very good. And as we all know they have other divices that you can sling over on AT&T. Who needs e'm!

codes cant be shared, slingbox can only be used by one source at a time. If someone gave you their code and you signed on while they were watching they would get bumped off. Dude if you can afford an Iphone you can buy a used Slingbox of Ebay.

its called sb settings get it from cydia to access it you swipe left to right at top of your screen its very useful for rebooting and switching certain features off all in one hidden menu

Just download Tricker ThreeG from Cydia. It works with SlingPlayer. All you have to do restart your phone :)

I did all this and I must have done something right because it doesnt say only works with wifi anymore, it says connecting, but doesnt connect and says make sure you have internet connection and the slingbox is connected, (which both are true) and when i switch to wifi it works just fine...why is this?

try soft reboot of iphone and sling box and internet reboot.

also might be your internet setting on phone!

check you have the correct internet settings in your iphone's settings if it works fine in safari using 3g then they are fine. try rebooting the slingbox and your router turning both off for 10 seconds at the power socket should do this

Jailbreak your phone, install the app VOIPOVER3G within Cydia.

1 - Go to your home directory or /root

2 - Look for the file named Library..open that

3 - Look for the file MobileSubstrate..open that

4 - Open DynamicLibraries

5 - Open the file named VoIPover3G.plist

Copy and Paste this including the quotes "com.slingmedia.SlingPlayer" within the allowed list. Save the file and your good to go.
