  • I don't remember Rottcodd being a Captain...

  • See, everyone says they weren't this funny in the books--but come on! Mervyn Peake described them all so ridiculously and made all of their actions so ironic and idiotic, I found myself chuckling throughout the novel. I think this film is spot-on.

  • This whole thing is just epic in its weirdness -- I love it!

  • The secretary is awsome!

  • i love how easily Steerpike recovers from being used as a punching bag and goes right back into being his magnificent bastard self again ....it's almost inspiring

    plus he's hot

  • Steerpike was stealing the kingdom gradually!

  • I actually found myself sympathising with Steerpike in the books, and though the books have a lot less humour in them than does this adaptation, the actors are incredibly well cast.

  • This is one of the most bizarre things I have ever watched! It is only really topped in bizarreness by Burn After Reading!!

I absolutely LOVE Steerpike though! :P

  • steerpike is an asshole.

but I can't help but appreciate him.

  • Out of all of them he's the most likeable...which says it all really...

  • i love Doctor Alfred's hair, lol

  • the book is better. and steerpike is an asshole. so i guess the casting works.

  • harsh!lol

  • And sadder. But this production really brings out each character as an individual and quite sympathetically too.

  • This is so freakish yet I'm loving it. My favourites are the twin sisters and of course the machiavellian hero himself. :D
