  • next time a round trip from amsterdam to berlin. that would be a statement.

  • In germany chademo is unkown. they keep repeating that EVs are CRAP that take 8 to 10 hours to recharge.

no one would even DREAM! of 20 minutes.

  • The 1979 VW Rabbit diesel got 58 mpg !!! 33 years ago !!

  • The electric mobility is already overdue by over a decade. We can no longer afford to intentionally injure Planet Earth by using fossile fuels. The currently high prices of electric vehicles are politically motivated by at least half. Best congratulation to these guys. They have clearly demonstrated both the practiability ant the fun factor of this clean technology which does not injure Earth. My next car will be electric.

  • That's awesome...We need more fast-charging stations.

  • The truth is simply that no-one wants to buy those electric vehicles as long as they are more expensive than normal petrol or especially Diesel vehicles, who use less fuel (=energy).

  • @on91 You are right, now be surprised that here these electric cars are cheaper to buy AND to run:

In the Netherlands a Nissan Leaf costs about as much as a 5-door Volkswagen Golf with AC and cruise control. We found: the Leaf drives 5km/kWh with AC on (7km/kWh is the official numer). The Dutch renewable electricity price is 25ct/kWh including everything -> 5 ct/km. A Golf has to do 25km/l for that at our current 1.3 Euro/liter. Let's say it does.

Do you want to burn fossil fuels of be clean?

  • Great video! Looks like you had heaps of fun. Can't wait to own a Leaf one day!

  • Hah! Electric cars ftw!

  • great video!

  • Good job guys!!

I want to go to Europe now. :)

    Greetings from California.

  • Neat test drive for sure, but what happens when many Leafs are on the road? What if 30 leafs arrive at the same charging location at the same time? Improved batteries with greater range might be better. Engineers working with DBM Energie in Berlin are driving an all-electric Audi A-2 about 500 km on a single charge. They invented a new Lithium-Metal-Polymer Solid State battery, said to have rapid recharge ability. Videos of the DBM electric A-2 can be seen here on YouTube.

  • Soom urbanites will have a little beepbeep green car and a normal internal combustion vehicle in the garage as well for weekends.

  • Great vid for anybody who always complain "Electric cars have very limited range" LOL

  • Great job Guys! Here in Canada I wish we had the fast charging infrastructure along our highways. One could basically go anywhere with just a little more time. This video definitely shows this is possible!

  • Nissan Leaf kaufbar: Holland 1 - Deutschland 0

    Elektroautoförderung: Holland 2 - Deutschland 0

Schnellladestationen an Autobahnen: Holland 3 - Deutschland 0

Manchmal nervt es echt, Deutscher zu sein.

  • Nice job!! The Leaf seems one of the best electric cars right now

  • What is "Apion"?

  • @waynesb Check 3:50. Epyon - Fast charging solutions for electric vehicles.

  • I'm pro electric vehicle, but not pro battery powered. With the current charging infrastructures, long distances are possible, but people are missing one important point. You have to go on a specified route - the roads with nearby charging points.

That's great until you want to go somewhere that has no points en route! Until an alternative to batteries is achieved, the oil companies should start installing them at gas stations. after all oil will run out one day.

  • @c53204

In the UK and Japan, charging stations are at some Petrol Stations.

  • Also about your specified route part you commented, did you watch Fully Charged episode 18 on youtube?

  • @Jogeta5 Yes saw it. He drove TO a charging point, just to charge the vehicle and drove back home? What about Driving from Glasgow to Fort William in Scotland. Not possible in a Leaf. With Leaf owners now stating the vehicles have a 'proven' range of 60 miles (after being stranded), it leaves many journeys simply impossible.

It's a simple fact, unless you live in the South East of the UK, or travel very short journeys a Leaf cannot yet be considered a direct vehicle replacement for many people

  • Dutch seem to have plenty of charge points this is the future great video

  • Very interesting. How many times did you have to recharge? And how much did it cost?

  • @choddo We managed to get the charging for free :). The stations were just off the highway. So we charged as frequently as we could. The charging stations were about 40-70 km apart, so we charged almost 20 times.

I don't know what the price may be in the future.

  • excellent stuff. As a fellow Leaf driver I am very envious. I think the most I've done with a fast charge stop is 250k in a day. Loved the music too.

You can check a lot of stuff about electric cars on my feed. Fullychargedshow

  • @fullychargedshow

Thanks, your Tesla-To-Edinburgh Episode inspired us to do this.

  • Waarom die slechte muziek? Verder wel cool, betekent dat we in een dag relaxed naar Zuid-Frankrijk (Marseille bv.) zouden kunnen rijden. (Als Fr op de goede plekken snellaadpalen neerzet.)
