So they can be burned on the altar as "A sweet insense before the lord" So according to that line of the bible, god likes the smell of burning flesh and blood.

THis is probably one of the best Death metal records I ever heard. It's got the most brutal riffing and barbaric drums and vocals i ever heard. Deicide's first 4 cds are all really good death metal. After Serpents of the light they stopped making classic albums.

@1brutaldeath Let's pretend that the Adam and Eve story is true for the sake of this discussion. Adam and Eve could have chosen to do whatever they wanted - the fact that they didn't know what good and evil was (besides what God told them) does not mean that they lacked free will. Actually, their ignorance of good and evil made it more likely for one of them to take a fruit from the tree of knowledge, which is of course what happened. Satan tempted Eve to do it, but ultimately it was her choice.

I would class myself as an agnostic atheist, basically, I don't believe in god but I cannot be100% certain, no one can be one way or the other. Again I can't say for certain but, if there is a god, it is more than likely NOT the christian god, or any of the Abrahamic gods. There is just way to much evidence against the claims of their bibles (the only source for them) for these gods to be taken seriously.

So they can be burned on the altar as "A sweet insense before the lord" So according to that line of the bible, god likes the smell of burning flesh and blood.

@VinceVonVicious dude i just commented about he is wrong about saying that god want animal sacrifice and slavery.it's weird becuz i've studied the bible and some lines clearly say that god (speaking for himself)doesn't want animal sacrifices but just to believe in him and pray.well if you believe what you're saying study more and act fairly.i can't state that satan is god and insist that it's true saying some vinephilosofies .well evidently by that i'm wrong if you understand.

@1brutaldeath I hope nobody here actually believes that Satan gave us free will. I know why you said that but even if the Adam and Eve story were true, with God and Satan existing and all, Satan did not give us free will. It's something we've always had. It's just that Satan convinced Eve to take the apple - that's all. Not Satan giving us free will.

But before eating the fruit of knowledge, we had no knowledge of good and evil. So how can you have free will without choice or the knowledge to choose? God gave us no option to choose. god simply comanded us to obey. God can be summed up in four words. Obey me or suffer.

@1brutaldeath Let's pretend that the Adam and Eve story is true for the sake of this discussion. Adam and Eve could have chosen to do whatever they wanted - the fact that they didn't know what good and evil was (besides what God told them) does not mean that they lacked free will. Actually, their ignorance of good and evil made it more likely for one of them to take a fruit from the tree of knowledge, which is of course what happened. Satan tempted Eve to do it, but ultimately it was her choice.

@foode666 Like I said before, I think he talked about the story in the sense of "if the Eve and the serpent scenario were real" but his perspective is still biblically incorrect. His comment surely must have caused some people to believe what he said is fact, and it's a shame his comment is the highest rated.

And since there are many different interpretations of the bible, who's to say which one is correct, if any? All I did was give my opinion on characters in the book. I added the crack about satan not because I think that's true, but I think it's a fair statement.

@VinceVonVicious All I was trying to point out is, without satans temptation we would not have gained the knowledge we did. But the main reason I added that in is, was really just for a cheap shot. But it dose not detract from the main points I made about god. All the shit I said about slavery,animal sacrifice and god killing everyone can be found in the bible, and I even cited where. I don't think people thumbed up the comment because they think it's true.

@VinceVonVicious I think most people checking out deicide songs usually tend to be atheist or maybe satanists. I think most people watching this are of the opinion that religion is a load of crap. So if they agree with any of my comment, it's probably the stuff I pointed out about god and not satan, because when you read the bible and read about the stuff I mentioned, it dose make god sound like an asshole tyrant. I don't think anyone took my comment as fact.

That hasn't been proven, especially not by you. In fact, due to our many weaknesses, humans are some of the most pitiful creatures alive. cockroaches and crocodiles have survived since Jurassic times. The only intelligent, scientific, and logical belief system is accepting that there are so many things we DON'T know.

@horriehomepage Ok fair enough, allow me to be more specific about my beliefs. I would class myself as an agnostic atheist, basically, I don't believe in god but I cannot be100% certain, no one can be one way or the other. Again I can't say for certain but, if there is a god, it is more than likely NOT the christian god, or any of the Abrahamic gods. There is just way to much evidence against the claims of their bibles (the only source for them) for these gods to be taken seriously.
