@DirtyMiner707 Because its a known fact, or at least at that point in time it was a fact that Naruto had shitty chakra control, and thus could not form the Rasengan on his own as he could form into a sphere while simultaneously doing the rotation. Well he could, but when he tried that it wasn't as effective, thus using a shadow close in a sense makes it easier and faster for him to do.

Wait is Naruto in english and japenese different? I watched all of english dub and I don't remember seeing when he supposedly pulls of rasengan for the first time. I remember him using it on a tree perfectly. And first time he used it on someone was Tsunade please answer.

@hollowmaskmaker100 Well if you want to be technical at this point it is complete, as the point was to add an element into it, which Naruto has done. Thus as a technicality he as completed the Jutsu that his father didn't have a chance to complete. Now if only he learns other Wind Style Jutsu and doesn't always rely on rasengan, as he needs more variety than Rasengan and Kage Bushin.

That is probably b/c that doesn't really have much to do with teh proccess of learning the Rasengan. I suggest you actually try to find that episode rather than look for that in an AMV, as it isn't very likely you will find it unfortuntely :-(.
