I don't know about ecstasy personally, but i have an uncle who has been addicted to crack cocaine since forever. My mom told me one time he got shot pretty bad, and the doctors said that if he wasn't so high at the time, that more than likely he would have went into shock and died on the scene. I guess his brain wasn't able to process the trauma, much less the pain. I honestly don't believe that any drugs TRULY make your mind work faster, it all numbs your brain in some form.

I don't think it numbs the brain. I think it numbs the senses. He was on cocaine, which means that his serotonin levels would have been increased. Serotonin deals with happiness and pain-receptors...

Please, straight caffiene aint' nothin! Being that i suffer from migranes, i've probably been addicted to Fioricet for a while now. Fioricet contains caffiene, as well as Butalbital (barbiturate) and Acetaminophen. Talk about addicting! In most cases it will give you rebound headaches, but i'm more attached to the barbituate high you get, mellows you out real nice, which really comes handy when you have a debilitating headache that puts you in a bad mood.

If I don't drink it then I get agitated, aggressive, depressed, fatigued & severe migraines. As for internet, I'm not as bad now than about 3 years ago. I used to skip college classes & spend 24-38 hours straight on the internet. Again, if I stopped then I'd have panic attacks, paranoia, anxiety, agitation & irritability. I've been severely addicted to both.

Damn, caffiene is a bitch once it gets ahold of you. My friend abuses caffiene like it's no thing, she'll drink coffee with like, 3 shots of espresso all day, then sleep for 3-4 hours, wake up and start all over again. No. Weed is one of the few drugs out there where you do not develop a tolerance to it. You might mentally become used to functioning while high, but you'll always get high no matter how much weed you smoke without fail.

Addiction is surely not black & white. Some people can genuinely be responsible with experimenting & others...not so much. LOL! Just about control for me. :)
