The place where the status was put - it used to be a mosque. It was demolished by communists and Serbs in 1946. Now instead of rebuilding the mosque in the country were 95% are Muslims they put a statu of somebody who is not support by was majority of Albanians.

Skenderbeg fought to give Albanians freedom. Freedom of religion and freedom of ethnic existance. He defended himself from christians and muslims, giving Albanians the freedom to choose. Skenderbeg is a hero to every Albanian.
