  • Efectivamente, Lindsey Buckingham se encuentra muy por encima del nivel de este guitarrista, que aunque es bueno, no tiene el nivel ni la categoría del gran Lindsey...

  • Is'nt?

  • @loudmusic67 ...agree totally...listened to this flying to Brunei from UK...14 or was it 16 hours etc etc ...lost count of how many times I pressed rewind on my SONY WALKMAN..LOL

  • @TheBluebellMoon2 woow you must be into vintage stuff from sony you still use a walkman in these days where 99% are using their i pod or i phone?anyway enjoy the music

  • Still amazing!!! my fave fleetwood mac :)

    xx

  • I agree... is one of the best songs of Tango in the Night... but this performance is not the best, far and away... Is it Linday's difference??

  • for history purposes this is so fantastic!!!

  • Genial 80's song. I love it!

  • 3 people don't know it is midnight on the other side of the world.

  • Christine's vocals are perfect and Rick's playing is insane.

  • I wouldn't want to be the one filling Lindsay's boots but he is done a good job of it.

  • Stevie Nicks, sure looked different when she was younger a much more round cuter face, she lookslike a little girl, cute eh! i like at 1:59 when the guitar gets high lyrics and Christine starts jumping it shows its real good, reminds me of the blonde guy in Abba who was jumping behind the keyboard.

  • totally love this!!!

  • Anyone notice the weird horned 'hell creature' @ 2:45, 3:01 and 4:26?

    What/who is that?!

  • @netlurker55 When they made their pact with satan they agreed to let him play drums? ;)

  • my brains just exploded

  • I agree with the two previous posts! This was a killer song off Tango in the Night...maybe the closest thing Fleetwood Mac ever got to hard rock haha. I often wondered if they had gone more in this direction after Tango what they could have accomplished...but it wasn't meant to be. Buckingham's solo to end the recorded version of this song is simply epic.

  • Mister Vito, on the back wall of the heart of every rock and roll fan, there's a wall with the plaques listing the Top Guitarists of All Time in Music -

Do you think YOUR name is going to be on that wall!??

Yeah actually I do to... ;)

    YIPE you're good!!!!

  • Love this song, my favorite by Chritine McVie ♥

  • @msstevie1951 Donna, you forgot your "S"

  • @rocker53zero I'll give you an "S" ! LOL! Who are you Mr Webster? he he he! xxx

  • Comment removed

  • @msstevie1951 Donna, I'm sorry about the previous remark.. I didn't mean it as it read. It was stupid and incoderate to write something so offensive in the first place.

  • Wow, arn't they all in Great form ? Isn't Christine, perfect ?

  • what a song, what more can you say,

  • One of my favorite periods of Fleetwood Mac!

  • ty love this song

  • A classic Christine McVie tune, lots of repeating of chorus, but she always made it work w/ great backup of Stevie's voice adding the grit

  • I never said ther was anything wrong with it...I happen to really like the music that they made with Vito and Burnette and later Mason...but Lindsey's ability to sound like two guitartists at once will always amaze me

  • I think its funny that Lindsey left and they had to get two guitarists to replace him.

  • It doesn't matter, this concert was most amazing. Even these two guys brought a new sound to the band till Lindsey got back. Many people have wondered why they got 2 guitarists... well one is the lead guitar and the other is for harmonics. And along Lindsey, Rick Vito (lead guitar) is one of the greatest guitarist around. So nothing wrong here.

  • what an amazing band,. theyre even better live

  • I agree they sound a lot better than most live bands! They sound good anyways!

  • 4:20 nice :)

  • Tango in the night, the album, only hits.

  • cracking song this live version is much better than the studio version

  • Christie McVie was so hot

  • that solo doesn't hold a candle to Lindsey's. Good though!

  • Great jam!!!!!

  • Not the same without Lindsay Buckingham there!!!!!

  • @oceancoloursubsea I agree completely. They've replaced his vocal with Stevie in this song. It just doesn't sound as good...To me, at least.

  • @oceancoloursubsea true ! it was better

  • @oceancoloursubsea He can't mean that much to you if you can't even spell his name right.

  • @bigstereo In the grand scheme of things does it really matter? Tosser!

  • @oceancoloursubsea Lindsey Buckingham was so good, when he left it took TWO guitarists to replace him! And neither put together was anywhere close.

  • only one word: awsome

  • I have to look for the VSH tape of this concert (Tango in the night) I have lying somewhere. Fantastic 'drive' song, this one ...

  • ive got the dvd of this concert

  • Rocker53zero,Isn't it midnight in Ireland when it's 6:00PM here in Illinois USA? I love this song so much and wanted to share it with you too xx msstevie xxO

  • Hi Donna. I think we have a 5 hour time difference just now. I think It will be 6 hours when we change the clocks at the end of October, but maybe it will be 4 hours. ???? Not sure lol

  • lol it took two mediocur guitarists to replace lindsey lmao goes to show you how great he is

  • One of their BEST! LOVE FLEETWOOD MAC! Well isn't it midnight on the other side of the world? Do you remember the face of this pretty girl????? xxx

  • i totally agree!!! would have 2 be my fave!!!

cant help dancing in ur seat! lol

    xx

  • song is lame without lindsey

  • you're right.

  • I love this! Stevie looks awesome!

  • awesome song i love you fleetwood mac:))))))

  • Billy Burnette and (especially) Rick Vito deserve a lot of credit for doing an excellent job. And the album these guys made while with FM ("Behind the Mask") really is excellent, too. But, of course, no one can replace Lindsey.

  • this is probably their most 80s sounding song during this time

  • I'm just glad Lindsey came back when he did.

He returned FM to the level they were at during the Tango era.

  • mick and john are so good together!

  • it took 2 guitarists to replace lindsey..

  • This IS Christine's song!!!!!!

  • me encanta !!! la cancion esta de la PTM :P

  • I don't know how Stevie's voice could have gone "downhill" back then 1988: I was at the Montreal concert JUST the other night and she still RULES.

  • One of the best 3 songs on 'Tango'....rockin!

  • everyone says this isnt the true fleetwoodmac without Linzy B but Billy Burnette on the Guitar solos on this he FUCKING ROCKSSSSSSS

  • Its not billy burnette its Rick Vito on the guitar solo

  • ah yeah , my mistake.

  • But on the album/cd it is Lindsey Buckingham though! (Check it out) He recorded the album but did not want to go on Tour weird!

  • The Guy's a total tool--- I can;t understand him!

  • I totally agree. This was a Great album but very Bad tour. How could you do "Big Love" without Lindsey?

  • his playing style is very unique, no one can play Big Love like him, unless they did it like the album version, not like the guitar and voice only- like the stunning perfomance on The Dance. There's no way Burnette and Vito could replace a ghost, like Kenney Jones replacing Keith Moon- just doesn't work, you know?

  • I saw that tour, and they DIDN'T do "Big Love" without Lindsey. I recall that they only did one song that was solely by Lindsey.

  • Do you happen to remember which song it was? I was in the Army at Fort Sill at the time so I missed that tour anyways (I'm not mad though Lindsey is one of my favs. just as this year I was not happy because Christy McVie did not tour with them. Don't get me wrong I love Fleetwood Mac. Just wish I could see all of the them...Stevie, Chritsy, Lindsey, John & McFleetwood all together...Oh Well!

  • Near the end, they gave us "Go Your Own Way" with Billy standing in on lead voice for Lindsey. Not bad, although Lindsey did it better in 2004.

Yes, it is a shame that Christine Perfect McVie has retired.

  • Thank you very much Toniehoek! Well I'm not to upset that I missed that concert then. But I truly do love your input...Thanks Again. Scott (LOUDMUSIC67)

  • go Christine! one of her best Mac songs. miss her so much in FM. wont see them this summer cuz she is missing.

  • Stevie is a ledgend.

I think fleetwood mac are underestimated.

  • stevie is fantastic simple as .

  • you're a dumass, stevies voice is as good as ever. loser.

  • I didn't realize that Stevie had gone downhill so fast. Maybe that's why Lindsey left. Cocaine just ruined her voice. Sad.

  • I think this is the best song off "Tango in the Night" album/cd but then I always did like Christy McVie.

  • @loudmusic67

    I agree.

  • Vito and Burnette are fine guitarists in their own right, but the Mac was sadly lacking without Lindsey. They are not in Lindsey's league, though not many are, he's part of a pretty exclusive group.

  • they said the same when peter green went but lindsey is awesome but rick and lindsey have got different styles and rick got thrown i the deepend and did a very good job

  • wooooo go fleetwood mac

man y cant all parents be like them even though chris and stevie never had kids id die to be excepted into the loving kind of families like them but hey um just a dumb 16 yr old all i know is stevie and fleetwood mac are my world

  • i think rick vito does a better job on this than lindsey he had a big pair of boots to fill and he done it brilliant he has worked with some great stars so go on rick keep on rocking

  • I second that. Amazing job.

  • Right on. Rick was - and still is - a fabulous multi-faceted talent.

  • i with u guys!

i think he did a bloodyy brilliant job!!

    xx

  • Just think how good this would be with Lindsey. This was such a great album. It would have been an amazing tour if he'd stayed in the band. I wonder if he ever kicks himself for not waiting at least until after the tour.

  • yea i totally agree!!!

but rick n billy o a bloody great job tho :)

    xx

  • christine sounds amazin

  • Looks great also

  • really good but aint got nothin on lindsay but like i said really good

  • Fleetwood Mac had some very good songs! this is one of my favourites!

  • i totally agree this is definatley my favorite!

    xx

  • i was wondering if they released this show on dvd?

if u cud tell me id b sooo grateful thanx

    xx

  • They did release this on DVD. They also released Say You Will's tour - Live in Boston - and The Dance on DVD.

  • This is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. Does anybody know if there was a 12'' version of the song released?

  • It is nice to hear Christine singing for once even if she isn't as good as Stevie. Stevie's voice does add to it tho. Altogether, very good!

  • is it possible 2 be addicted 2 a song lol

jus cant stop listenin 2 it!

    xx

  • Amazing guitar solos here. This dude is a fantastic guitarist.

  • The studio version is waaaaay better than this one. I saw this line-up in '90 and was begging for Lindsay to come on stage. Best song on the album, hands down! Sophomore year at Penn State... great year!

  • could someone please tell me who the guy is from

    9 - 11 seconds

    pleeeeeeez

    xx

  • Billy Burnette

  • thankyoooo!

    xx

  • love this!!!!!

    xx

  • It shows you how much of a genius Lyndsey Buckingham was though as the replacement guitarists can't really match the amazing solo from the original track. This song is terrific

  • Christine looked hot in this clip

  • A fantastic song and a great performance !

Really cool !!! Thanx for posting !

  • I agree that Christine looks glam on this video and she wouldn't have looked out of place in Knots Landing. She should have been Valene's long lost sister, lol

  • Stevie is still sooooo beautifull:)

  • This has to be my favorite Fleetwood Mac song ever. It has a strong melancholic touch. And of course, I find the guitar solo quite extraordinary.

  • I know stevie was off coke at this point, but she sounds a little different(weird) then what she usualy sounds like.

  • they were high as weasels on (coke?) but man they cook on this song-

stevie looks like a good witch when she is high a wicked sweet smile that draws you in-

great song - could have been the house band at the hotel california

  • Great song for Fleetwood Mac.

  • I saw Mr LB in solo concert last year. Totally awe-inspiring. For a millionaire, he was a nice guy who really talks to the fans. Afterwards he was very nice when signing autographsw and msuical instruments. Rock on, LB!!

  • This song is my favourite song, loves from TURKEY.

  • Christine looks very beautiful -late 80's glamorous here, she could have guested on "Knots Landing."

  • "Tango in the Night" was a big comeback album for Fleetwwod Mac with 4 hits - "Everywhere," "Seven Wonders" "Big Love" and "Little Lies" This should have been the fifth hit.

  • In fact, this song was the 6th single taken off the LP. A little promotion brought the single in only UK no.60.

  • And I know there should be much more to a band than hits. But, in the end, a lot of really great bands have just broken up for good, due to a relative lack of commercial success. But, it isn't really for me to say, one way or the other. History speaks for itself!

  • Look, I own every FM album ever made...and I LOVE a lot of their stuff w/o LB. But, MF said himself that, at the time LB joined, he gave the band a shot in the arm and they may have broken up otherwise. And just look at their number of hits w/ LB, versus the number of hits w/o him.

  • FM w/o LB isn't really a real band...maybe in the 60's, but not since.

  • you are so wrong

  • "donutcookiepie", you are so right. LB has the gift of making the guitar do whatever he wants. One song sounds like a harp, the next song it sounds like a drum. Gifted, Mr B is. Plus, we are not worthy to put down LB.

  • rick an billy are great and stevie and christine made fleetwood mac famous not lindsey

  • Mr LB, you helped arrange this song, and left...

    But you had your reasons.

  • From the Tango in the Night DVD. You can find it cheap.

  • great Band !

  • Thanks for posting! This is great, but only minor gripe is that I wish Lindsey Buckingham were playing instead of those two other clowns who replaced him. Christine is gorgeous and wonderful as always though.

  • No one can match Lindsey Buckingham's talent, shame he didnt play.

  • Incredible, incredible song. Both the solo and the outro lead are the bomb, especially the ones Lindsay does on the album. Fantastic!

  • I am from TURKEY. This is my favorite song. Wonderfull.

  • This was the way-too-much-hair-Stevie LOL

  • More solid on the studio album, though, with Lindseys guit and back vocals.

I think this is Behind The Mask tour (1991).

Or if it's Tango tour (album came out summer 87), it means they found Lindseys replacements pretty fast for this tour.

  • This was on their Tango in the Night tour.I have the dvd of this.Great concert.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG SOOOO MUCHHHHHH!!

Chris's voice is soooooo incredible!!...this song makes you wanna dance for hours!!!!

  • ~* I love this song!

  • the "tango" tour - caught it at wembley.

yeah, this is a great christine song. one of the best on the album & luv this live version x

  • geweldig

  • Wow, one of my favourite FM songs, one of Christine's greatest, under rated songs (though pretty much all her songs are). This is amazing, I've never seen any other live version.

  • WOW i havent heard this version!!!:D:D rocks!!!

  • ty for posting

    Blessings

    Avalon

  • WOW that guitar work was amazing! :-)

Oh, and the KID did okay, too.

Looked like he was having fun.

  • behind the mask tour...loved it

  • this is one of my fav FM songs...billy and rick did such a good job. God i miss christine mcvie! reply to me if you dont???

  • can someone help me to find this album on dvd?i am looking for a verry long time.

  • hey mate...just go to your local dvd store, or go to ebay. trust me, its one of the best FM DVD's. Good luck

  • thanks jake, but whats the name of the dvd?

  • Fleetwood Mac- Tango In The Night

  • no it isnt this song is from tango in the night

  • wooow, this one remember me a very special girl, the first time i have sex, she was so gorgeos.

  • this song is from behind the mask...a great album and this song plays off christine and stevie vocals so well

  • This song is one of the best in my opinion!

  • I have the video this is from LOL

  • The best song from TANGO IN THE NIGHT.

  • ah ok. i looked on wikipedia and it never said it. only japan i think

  • Love this song live, too. Stevie & Christine are beautiful.

    Rick's a cutie. :o)

  • fabulous! my favorite song of of TANGO!!

  • awesome

  • AWESOME version of this song. Stevie wasn't even really "together" on this 1987 tour (this was from an HBO Special that was released on VHS and "ooohh" Laser Disc) :) - but man her voice wraps around this song so well, I'll bet they wished they had recorded like this...

  • This song is so much better live. On the CD can barely hear Christine's voice. Lindsey is a good back up, but Stevie's rendition as backup is better.

  • Stevies coke days

  • Such a good song. My favorite by Christine.

  • In this track Ricky Vito is like Lindsey: great!

  • bloody awesome off tango in the night! shame it wasn't released here in the uk

  • Actually it was released as a single in the UK but only charted at number 55 or something stupid like that

  • They milked 6 singles off the album in the UK. Then again, maybe the quality of albums would be better if more bands did that these days.

  • They will be magnificent always!!!!!

  • They will be magnificent always!!!!!

  • Luv this song!!One of the best on the dvd!

  • One of the best songs on Tango in the Night
