  • in addition to navigating the shallows, the short rope stops the boat being towed from running over the tow boat should the tow boat run aground.

  • it is standard practice to tow a jet boat at high speeds with a short rope especially if it in the shallows

  • yes taking very good care of it for you, even gave it a wash!! this was the day the engine died and had to be towed down river

  • that boat looks familiar

  • he could of flipped that bitch

  • sound like uve done this once or twice. but not gonna lie that looks sketchy as hell!

  • eyelets are designed strong to pull a static load even, thick reinforced alloy hull. whilst nozzle is turning it is only spray hitting the other boat and not the boat turning. sharp turns are required from time to time as this was a very shallow river

  • What happens when the eyelet tears out if the front of the boat? And why is the driver turning left and right real quickly? Is he trying to upset the towed boat? Maybe make it catch the wake and flip?

  • stupid fuks'

  • first to say your not to pull a boat that fast its not a good idea the rope can snap or the wake can flip the toed boat

  • @kevinlowe87

hi kevin. we are towing a jet boat with another jet boat down a very shallow tight river, only a few inches deep. the short rope allows us to manoeuvre the towed boat down the various shallow chutes etc, the rope is a 15mm with 5.5 ton breaking strain. this is common practice in the jet boat world. it can be tricky but the towed boat generally behaves well.

  • @matthewfnorbert10 ok good to know for jet boats.

  • @kevinlowe87 dont worry if the boat flys off, it will just take out the boat behide it
