I just wanna say... This is the episode that ment the most to me. You showed to me that anyone could make a movie about anything. "The Magic of Carpentry" was made souly because my sister and I had nothing better to do. I submited it to you not even expecting to be taken seriously but alas here we are. I love what you're doing for not only me but MORE IMPORTANTLY everyone. I'm not sure how things would've been different without you, HeyKiller. I'll never be able to say "THANK YOU" enough.
well me and my friend are starting a club in high school for this war series , and I personally don't feel I should get it, there are people who can do better and make better use for it but, it would be nice to have, and thank you for the tips indymogul!
I would make a slasher film about a guy with OCD and who is kinda a hermit and when he kills, he kills the victims in their houses then cleans the entire house and poses the victims to look like they're doing natural things. I feel I should get this cause I'm finally at the age where if I make a film I won't be criticized on how my characters are much older than the actors but im too young to get a job so I can't affor a pro one. Well I love all your shows thnx!

I don't want to spend a lot of money on a camera rig, so if I got one for free I'd put it to good use. It'd make my video class projects better, and I'd totally use it for that.
WELL, I'm in the process of making the BFX fig rig, and it's coming long great, but what would be especially great is to have a collection of different stabilizers. I'm planning on also making a DIY steadicam-ish thing, since some shots would suit a fig rig better, and some a steadicam. But what would be awesome is to have a shoulder rig as well, so for every shot I need I have a stabilizer! And I'll be shooting action movies with lots of movement, since I'd like to get Action Essentials soon.
I am just starting filming and so all of my movies (unintentionally) have more shaky cam than a horror film shot entirely on moving vehicles on a gravel road. I have been planning a short film since last year. It's a script I've been writing carefully, trying to make it the best I can.
Since it's a Sci-Fi i would use the rig to make smooth shoots, like that, people would focus on what's going on in the plot, without being distracted by a shaky camera.
I'm in no way professional, and since I haven't had any real job, I don't have a big budget to rent equipment, so having a free rig would be really useful and nice.

The reason why we deserve to win the shoulder rig is because we love shooting movies. We've already made 3 and not planning to stop there. BFX has already taught us how to make a DIY circle rig and a slider, but we could definitely use a shoulder rig. It would help tremendously with general shots and make shooting much more comfortable. We have a few ideas for our next movie but think that we'd like to have a go at sci-fi again. But this time with more 3D and cool transitions :)

I would enjoy the cowboy shoulder rig because i am going to be making a movie for my senior project and i would like to have a more profession feel, than just a tripod or had held shot. not a hundred percent sure what my senior project is going to be of but i know a shoulder rig would come in handy A LOT.

I don't like sob stories but here goes. I nearly lost my eye 7 years ago. I still need another operation because a stitch in my eyeball has come loose. I make films and right now I've been editing for 18 hours straight, I took a little break to watch this. People think it's amazing that I nearly lost my eye and now I make films I'm just doing what I wanted to do. I'll use the rig to make a film about an office chair who decides to run away from the city and become a park bench. *tiny violins* :(

Then i would go into an action movie where i would try to get my friends to punch each other. Then i would make my way to documenting the life of a free runner. My movie will be made on a 300 dollar budget, and that's almost all I have. I hope this to be good enough to submit to sundance and other film festivals. I've been reading the book Rebel Without a Crew by robert rodriguez and I feel like my movie can be great enough after all of my independent studying.
Oh ya I should add its in convertibles, thus why the rig will be more awesome, it may also involve me removing a door and being tethered hanging out the hole.
I have already been writing a screen play and plan to create it this summer. the problem is I have a camcorder and I don't want to make it look shaky. I need a way to get a good running truck shoot but my dolly dose not have enough track. One of the first things I would use it for would be my Western Film that I am working on because according to the cowboys and aliens Episode there are not many.

I want the shoulder rig because i want to create a new unique webseries. It's basically an urban fantasy action/drama, just imagine a current world where behind the scenes monsters from myth & legends actually exist. Well i have the script done & am now location scouting & casting roles. Needless to say i can't get sponsers if i have no previous works, this means ep.1 comes out of my wallet & I'm designing outfits & props myself, so it would be extremely helpful to get a decent rig for free.
@harlen333 Well what i would compare it to is say a more modern Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings style webseries, it has a man basically going through this monster filled world to find the killer (non-human) of his wife and son. Though i am thinking about including dear old slenderman in an episode lol, episode one will have werewolf like creatures and episode two will have the infamous bloody mary.

@torotteson Some what i suppose but i have only really seen one episode of that show. Basically a man who was cursed to never be able to age or die in the 1700's the night his wife and son were killed, now in current day he hunts monsters that cause "harm" to humans and other organizations cover up the creature existance to keep the peace. Well clues of the man's family killer surface and he trys to slowly track them down which causes choas.
I would use the shoulder rig for my upcoming Short Film Fallen. The short film is based around an ex-government soldier who finds himself in a post-apocolyptic war zone where the government is attempting to wipe out all non-followers of their order. He must find a way to help the resistance transfer a cure to a disease spread by the government back to headquarters while he attempts to discover his identity and past. The film is projected to have a ton of fast paced action and chase sequences!

Well I have over 20 scripts on my Hard Drive alone. But I think the first one I will shoot will be a six part comedy series about the work lives of two people who have just started dating. The man has a high paying office job in the city but is immature and has no idea what his job actually is. The woman is a high-aimer who works in a warehouse and is stuck in a rut. I have scripted the first episode and hopefully one day can film it. A camera rig would speed up the process a lot :)
If I had it I would make a superhero thriller. He uses his grappling hook to swing from buildings after bailing off his motorcycle, thus propelling him. The camera rig would be perfect for the aerial views while he's in the air.
I think i deserve the shoulder rig because my dream is to become a filmmaker and i don't have a lot of equipment (except a video camera and a tripod) and i think it would be very helpful to have the rig for chase scenes. The first thing i would probally film using the rig would either be a high action short. or a short film that involves incorporating android apps and applying them to real life scenearios (Ex. use the zippo app to light a cigarette or use the gun app at a shooting range.)

I'm in college (Highschool in the UK) and have my heart set on directing, my next video will be the beginnings of a superhero film for my studies which I intend to turn into a web-series. This shoulder rig would be awesome to have to make some brilliant action scenes as I'll be running around very quickly a lot! Also as I'm a student I'm obviously on a bit of a budget, so I'm all about cheap filmmaking, and I've been a devoted indymoguler for over 2 years now.. Love the way you're taking it on!
I´d like to have the shoulder rig because I am an 15 year old student from the Netherlands and I like to make movies with my friends, later when I´m a little older I want to go to the film academy in Amsterdam. With the cowboy shoulder rig I can make more good looking professional movies with my friends, I can use one of those movies to send in as "audition" for my study in Amsterdam! Okay. SO I'm only a highschooler but I have ambitions of becoming a director, or at least a screenwriter. Anyways, I am a striving filmmaker as you can see from my submisions but I am normally severely understaffed. I can't always get the help I need to make my films and I work with really cheap equipment, effects, etc. I coul really use any help I can get whether it be my eight year old brother, shamless publicity from your show, or a fancy shoulder rig. I'm sure they have a lot planned for the future, and the awesome directors project has been a success so far in my opinion, and movie quest has become one my my favourite shows on youtube aswell, I'd say indymogul is just getting started :)

I'm planning on also making a DIY steadicam-ish thing, since some shots would suit a fig rig better, and some a steadicam. But what would be awesome is to have a shoulder rig as well, so for every shot I need I have a stabilizer! And I'll be shooting action movies with lots of movement, since I'd like to get Action Essentials soon.

I am just starting filming and so all of my movies (unintentionally) have more shaky cam than a horror film shot entirely on moving vehicles on a gravel road. (I need help) I would shoot either my movie AS$HOLES which I have completely cast and scripted, or Assassins: Apocalypse, a movie I'm writing as the conclusion to a trilogy about assassins which is released in reverse chronological order. (Assassins 3, 2, 1, basically.)

Ive been making films for over 4 years eventhough I'm only in highschool. Because of that, I have a very limited budget and cannot afford the best equipment. Dispite the lack of good equipment, I have made several films including PSA's and typographies. Please check them out on my channel.

I have been planning a short film since last year. It's a script I've been writing carefully, trying to make it the best I can.
Since it's a Sci-Fi i would use the rig to make smooth shoots, like that, people would focus on what's going on in the plot, without being distracted by a shaky camera.
I'm in no way professional, and since I haven't had any real job, I don't have a big budget to rent equipment, so having a free rig would be really useful and nice.

I want to make a short film about a boy who wakes up and doesn't know who he is, where he is, or why he's there. He's in the US, but he is the only one. No one else is there. He starts to remember things about his past, and as the film progresses, we learn that all things are not as they seem, and the KGB is still active. The reason why we deserve to win the shoulder rig is because we love shooting movies. We've already made 3 and not planning to stop there. BFX has already taught us how to make a DIY circle rig and a slider, but we could definitely use a shoulder rig. It would help tremendously with general shots and make shooting much more comfortable. We have a few ideas for our next movie but think that we'd like to have a go at sci-fi again. But this time with more 3D and cool transitions :)

I would use the shoulder rig for a film club that im starting at my school. The club is in the works and needs funding, so free equiptment would be great. The first video that would be made with it would be whatever the club members want to make. I want everyone that does join to do what they want to, no exceptions. I don't like sob stories but here goes. I nearly lost my eye 7 years ago. I still need another operation because a stitch in my eyeball has come loose. I make films and right now I've been editing for 18 hours straight, I took a little break to watch this. People think it's amazing that I nearly lost my eye and now I make films I'm just doing what I wanted to do. I have already been writing a screen play and plan to create it this summer. the problem is I have a camcorder and I don't want to make it look shaky. I plan to create a shot similar to the shot in pulp fiction when vince crashes his car into the drug dealer's home, but it would look horrible without shoulder support. Well i have the script done & am now location scouting & casting roles. @harlen333 Well what i would compare it to is say a more modern Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings style webseries, it has a man basically going through this monster filled world to find the killer (non-human) of his wife and son. Though i am thinking about including dear old slenderman in an episode lol, episode one will have werewolf like creatures and episode two will have the infamous bloody mary.

Basically a man who was cursed to never be able to age or die in the 1700's the night his wife and son were killed, now in current day he hunts monsters that cause "harm" to humans and other organizations cover up the creature existance to keep the peace. Well clues of the man's family killer surface and he trys to slowly track them down which causes choas.

I would use the shoulder rig for my upcoming Short Film Fallen. The short film is based around an ex-government soldier who finds himself in a post-apocolyptic war zone where the government is attempting to wipe out all non-followers of their order. He must find a way to help the resistance transfer a cure to a disease spread by the government back to headquarters while he attempts to discover his identity and past. The film is projected to have a ton of fast paced action and chase sequences!

Well I have over 20 scripts on my Hard Drive alone. But I think the first one I will shoot will be a six part comedy series about the work lives of two people who have just started dating. The man has a high paying office job in the city but is immature and has no idea what his job actually is. The woman is a high-aimer who works in a warehouse and is stuck in a rut. I have scripted the first episode and hopefully one day can film it. A camera rig would speed up the process a lot :)

I think i deserve the shoulder rig because my dream is to become a filmmaker and i don't have a lot of equipment (except a video camera and a tripod) and i think it would be very helpful to have the rig for chase scenes. The first thing i would probally film using the rig would either be a high action short. or a short film that involves incorporating android apps and applying them to real life scenearios (Ex. use the zippo app to light a cigarette or use the gun app at a shooting range.)

I feel that I am the best candidate for the cowboy shoulder rig because when i make a film or short, i do it the old school way. on the spot and choreographed right then and there. plus as a videographer on a budget, i am more prone to using DIY build gear and i dont get the opportunity to use high end equipment like this. ^_^ and the video i would make with this rig would be my "Smooth Talkers" film about two best friend trying to pick up girls at the park with corny pick up lines. ^_^

I really don't deserve the cowboy rig but if I did get one, it would make my filming so much better. As to what I would shoot forst with it, is still a work in progress

I'm in college (Highschool in the UK) and have my heart set on directing, my next video will be the beginnings of a superhero film for my studies which I intend to turn into a web-series. This shoulder rig would be awesome to have to make some brilliant action scenes as I'll be running around very quickly a lot! Also as I'm a student I'm obviously on a bit of a budget, so I'm all about cheap filmmaking, and I've been a devoted indymoguler for over 2 years now.. Love the way you're taking it on!

I´d like to have the shoulder rig because I am an 15 year old student from the Netherlands and I like to make movies with my friends, later when I´m a little older I want to go to the film academy in Amsterdam. With the cowboy shoulder rig I can make more good looking professional movies with my friends, I can use one of those movies to send in as "audition" for my study in Amsterdam! That would help me a lot!
I have plans of making a fallout themed and a zombie movie!

I have been making my own, three times, and yeah it gets better, and better earch time, but I can only use the home made for about 10 shots, and it breaks..
I really need this mount, because I'm shooting a film I have been working on in 2 years, it's a movie called "Alone", and I have had my ups and downs, but this movie means alot to me.

Well me and my crew are trying to become a Independent film company and so far for equipment we use Indy-mogul builds(I make them of coarse) and it would be awesome to have that shoulder rig. Our next project: well I dont wanna give away the plot but think fight club drama with a twist.

I need the rig because DSLR's have terrible rolling shutter issues and I have .50 cents to my name. I plan on shooting an action video with LOTS of running...................................

Okay. SO I'm only a highschooler but I have ambitions of becoming a director, or at least a screenwriter. Anyways, I am a striving filmmaker as you can see from my submisions but I am normally severely understaffed. I can't always get the help I need to make my films and I work with really cheap equipment, effects, etc. I coul really use any help I can get whether it be my eight year old brother, shamless publicity from your show, or a fancy shoulder rig. Love the show man!

I'm sure they have a lot planned for the future, and the awesome directors project has been a success so far in my opinion, and movie quest has become one my my favourite shows on youtube aswell, I'd say indymogul is just getting started :)
