I saw Rachel Griffiths on the Late Late show in May. Shes so FAKE!!! She had a half American, Half Australian accent. Even everyone in the comments section commented on it. Now shes back in Oz at the logies and sounds as aussie as they come. I hate fake people!!! Whats she trying to prove. Check out her interview on the Late Late Show back in May.

it's actually quite common for people to purposeively retain a few of the more difficult intracacies of an accent into their personal life if they - for example - have to go into work later that day or the next day and speak in the accent.

I've seen it with Christian Bale, Anna Paquin, Yvonne Strahovski and Toni Collette amongst a few.

@Hunny1au she isn't fake, a lot of people have sub-conscience change in accent depending on who they are talking to, I have many english friends that have moved to australia many years ago and basically have aussie accents but when they talk to their parents they don't realize they speak as if they never left england. It isn't fake, just how the brain works
