  • How much does your pot belly pig weigh?

  • Maybe you should watch Pig Hoof Trim part one and two.... she handles the pig a little better!

  • Lol my piggy is snoozing beside me.. surprised he never woke up heehehe . his name is Louis (Lewis), and hes neutered so he wont be as gross as a unneutered male lol.. and he is just over 2 months old :D

  • Wow, you are really good.

  • This is just great ,Ive been bugging friends to help me but after seeing this I dont think Ill have too much of a problem ,,haaaaaaa I hope

My Susie is very vocal so will prepare for that. Id rather hear her voice then have her done at the vets with anicedic...Thanks for the lessons

  • I love how after you flip her she just just keeps screaming like, "I'M DEAD! I'M DEAD! >_<!" You're just getting your hooves clipped, silly girl. Haha.

  • Thanks for this video, trimmed my piggie, Sally Bear's hoofs last night. She didn't even squeal the whole time. Got her eyes cleaned up as well while we had her on her back. What a slick trick. I thank you and Sally Bear REALLY thanks you!

  • Hahaha, that pig is such a drama queen.

  • Thats so funny

  • i never recognized that pig feet look a lot like hands O.O

  • I want a pig ! how big do potbelly pigs get ?

  • She acts exactly like our pot when we trim her hooves. Gotta love the way they're perfectly fine when you let them get up.

  • its funny how she criesss soo much and he doesnt even try to defend herself. ahha cutiee. as soon as shes on her feet shes all right XD

  • lol, the pig is so loud, yet it isn't struggling AT ALL. That should be enough reason for people who think it's in pain

  • do your neighbors call the cops or something when she starts screaming like that?

  • Thanks for the demo. Now at least a have got a clue as to what to do with the nails of Liesje our pig. If I am going to do the hooves of our pig I think I will surely use earplugs.

  • You make it look so easy!! I had a farrier over to trim my pots feet the other day because he said he trims goats feet. He & my boyfriend just stood and watched while I tried to catch my pig & flip him over like you just did. An hour later we finally got him on his back & he trimmed his nails, making a few bleed. For one thing, where did you get your trimmer? His weren't like yours, yours look like I could use them myself to trim Porkams hooves. And save $20 a shot. please let me know, thx

  • They are hoof nippers, typically used for horses. I got them at a local feed store, but you can get them at most horse supply stores or online.

  • thanks for the quick response!!

  • LMAO

  • THAT WAS GREAT LOL

  • THAT WAS GREAT lOL

  • Id rather trim the hooves on that chick and do 'er lol

  • Fool pig

  • Thanks for this video! I have 3 pots..and i REALLY need to do this..I've just been so scared to try it. Can they have heart attacks if they get stressed like that? I think thats what i'm more afraid of...*sigh* I guess Hammie will be my first victim this weekend...wish me luck! LOL

  • thanks for the video~ do you know if they need any filing after the trims?

  • Drama Queen!

  • I need to learn how to do this... wish you had a close up. I have no idea how to do my little sophie's nails!

  • Do you own ear plugs?

  • Haha, as soon as you flip her back over again, she's OK as if nothing even happened. It's hard to see what all the fuss was about.

  • Do you actually own a pig in you house ?!

Waw, that's very unusually here in France =S

  • Yes, she lives in the house. It's not that common here in the US either, but I know plenty of people that have their pigs living in their house. She used to sleep in my bed, but now she sleep next to it.

  • im fixing to go get me a baby pot belly in april

  • :O my pig scream like that too if I try to do anything and then I stop ... I m just so scared that she gets heart attack :(

  • Yeah, people are crazy :)

Your pig is super cute too and looks very healthy especially for as old as he is. Pot-belly pigs can live up to 20 years (the oldest I've heard of was 21), but not that many live that long. Most pass away around 10-12 due to health issues, but the ones that can make it past that usually live about 17-20 years. Lucy is going to be 3 in December.

  • Wow, amazing that someone could put a negative comment about it. People are crazy; this method is so much less stressful than putting them under gas (not necessarily for the owner, but for the pig). I actually only posted this video as an attachment to advertisement for trimming other people's pig's hooves. This is my pig though. Thanks for the comment.

  • Good Job! I couldn't stop watching until the end! :-) kat

  • Thanks for posting this! Lucy didn't sound happy but was sure ready for her treat at the end.

I'm always amazed how they sound like something horrible is happening but instead of running away at the end they almost always turn and look for their treat.
