Todyo1798 - you are wrong. Gordon Brown was Blair's right-hand man at the time of the invasion; he voted in favour of it and arranged the finances for it. Now he's just making vague suggestions for a withdrawal some time beyond the next General Election.

Obama, the other Illuminate puppet, has proved himself a liar. Before elected he promised a withdrawal within 6 months. Now he's sending 30,000 more soldiers (pawns) and being evasive about a withdrawal.

Sure he arranged the finances as the Chancellor, but it was his choice to support, and vote for, the invasion. The invasion of both Iraq and Afghanistan break the rules devised at Nuremburg, upon which post-war international law is based. Therefore, Brown and Blair, along with Bush, are war criminals.

As I said before, Obama is being slippery about a withdrawal date - instead he is escalating the war. They are all treacherous bastards serving more powerful puppet-masters.

yes but the Talibans cry is "Death to the west!", they need to be stopped, the troops will not be pulled out untill there is a decent Afghan army to resist them.

They sort of need to be neutralized so they can't attack Pakistan or Iran and get acess to nukes.

The bit about oil is true though. The whole thing is mainly about oil, fortunately renewable energy sources will mean that we in the west will not depend on it for much longer.

They are in exactly the same position that we would have been in had the Germans invaded and taken over Britain in WW2 - we would have conspired to employ terrorist tactics against them, both in Britain and in Germany.

I know that the had no choice but to use guerilla tactics, and I know that Britain had prepared those terrorist squads against the nazis. But I don't think they will leave the west alone, ther is a chance that Osama might just give up once we pull out, but I'd feel more confident if Afghanistan could defend themselves first.

It's all very well saying there shouldn't be a withdrawal yet, but in the meantime more soldiers are going to be killed or badly crippled.

There is no evidence that the Taliban would continue hostilities against the West. They didn't before the invasion, and they'd need all their resources to deal with their own country. We just can't afford all this foreign adventure nonsense.

When you consider how previous wars have been fought, the death toll for the current one is immpressive.

Paying the soldiers properly

Funding the Army properly

Giving them proper tools and vehicles

Giving them radios and guns that work

Making sure their accommodation isn't a damp, festering hellhole back in Blighty.
