I found a baby waxwing sitting in my driveway, I dont know how it got there but some idiot ppl surrounded it and scared it crapless! I took him fast and kept him for a few days and boy are they demanding little creatures! i had nooooo sleep! I found a rehabilitation centre for wild birds and took him there :( I was sad to see him go, they are absolutely gorgeous birds!
Bohemians have grey bellies and "orangish" undertail coverts. Plus they have extra yellow "wax" markings on their wings. That is definitely a cedar. Maybe you should get your facts straight.
Why's that bullshit? I actually found a baby Waxwing this morning. I'm figuring with all the extremely windy and rainy weather, the nest in my backyard got destroyed, leaving him helpless. Many people find baby birds, why would someone make that up?
I live in Mtn View, CA. and have seen a flock of these in my neighborhood off and on for the past 3 weeks. They are so beautiful! There are well over 50 waxwings in the flock around here, and it's amazing to see. I don't have much of a zoom lens... it's nice to see footage online. Thanks :)
