it is a very modern and large facility. I've never been to a "traditional" brewery. The Steamwhistle Brewery in Toronto is in a historic building, but the actually production facility is very modern....I've been there.

How many different flavors do you remember them making? I was unaware of the darker beers they had - will have to check our local liquor stores to see if they carry that one.

We were only able to try Asahi Black Beer and Asahi Super Dry.

I7m currently enjoying (as I type this) a new one called Asahi Royal Blend....very nice!

Awesome!! I've been on the Kirin tour in Yokohama and it was great. I actually learned more from my tour guide with his broken english than I did at the Coors tour in Golden, CO, USA! Japanese are pretty serious about their beer!

Not too sure, but Im clearly under age (16) And I guess the fact that I'm a foreigner and It's hard to predict our age, it's easy to get away with it. :) But I think the legal drinking age in Japan is 21?

no...it's not a stout. It was more like a brown ale (although the color is black). It's very light and easy to drink.
