Hey the same thing happened to me when I went thru the line on spring break. The stand by line during the lights praide at night said only 5 minites but it took us about only 30 secounds to reach the loading platfrom and there was no on there so my famaily got the whole ride to ourselves and it wasent until we arrived back at the loading platform after the ride when people were reapering to ride it. What a lucky day for us. =D SPLASH MOUNTAIN ROCKS!!! =D

I always go the last week in January and there's usually no line at all. Once, I walked right onto the ride and got my own personal log. When I got to the end, the ride operator asked if I wanted to go again. I said, "Sho nuff!".

The drop on this isn't so bad - it only lasts about 2 seconds anyway, and once you really start to feel it, it's over. The overall ride experience makes it worth it (to me at least). ;)

Jurassic Park at Universal, on the other hand ... now THAT is a drop I know I won't do again. (The CA one anyway - never been to another Universal park to know the difference if there is one.)

i love this ride. i didn't know it was going to be a theme ride i just thought it was a drop . this is waaaaayyy better then the disneyland one on this one hes about to fall saying plz dont throw me down and in the other one you see a shadow then you fall also in disneyland there is singing the whole ride this one has talking in it . a lot better then the disneyland version.

Don't worry, I haven't seen Songs of the South eiether. It's about Brer Fox and Brer Bear (Bad guys) chasing after Brer Rabbit to eat him or something. Along the way, Brer Rabbit keeps outsmarting them up untill the climax of the ride when you go down the drop. That is really all there is to it. If you haven't ridden it, you need to! This is a LEGENDARY attraction that has been duplicated a hundred times but this is the only truley good one!

Yeah the nice thing about that time of year is the public schools are still in session so most of the summer vacation crowd isn't there. That whole week our longest wait was about 15 minutes.

i rode this twice on my first visit to disney world in july 2007. my first ride, after it had ended, i was fortunate enough to win a dream fast pass badge as part of the year of a million dreams so this ride holds special meaning for me. i cant wait to go back im gonna try and go again this year. when my mom and i were there in july, it wasnt very croweded but then again we were like the first ones to ride it first thing.

If you haven´t been there yet, and think this clip is pretty cool... once you get to ride splash mountain, you´ll never forget neither the characters nor the songs... and everytime you play this clip, you will go back to that very moment and you´ll feel excited... I´ve been to all disney theme parks many times (I live in orlando), but an attraction as complete as this one.... you wont find.
