  • why didn't you show the finished look? defeats the purpose.

  • am i the only one who can't hear the video?

  • the best makeup tutorial, where is this artest now?

  • I was bron too late...

  • i like it very much!:xxxx

  • What!!!!! i didn't see the final result!!!!!!!

  • Look's really great! Gonna copy it right now:)

  • Her name is Stéphanie, I'm not quite sure about the last name, she is French, and use to work for Helena Rubisntein...

  • Anyone know the name of the makeup artist?

  • Beautiful. I wish i lived back in the 30's

  • Anyone notice how she holds the powderpuff whenever she's working against the face (hand rests on face)? Never thought of that but it's such a good idea!

  • OMG u r so good, so gentle placing it, one the best MUP i've seen in a long time

  • Pretty Cool!

  • Her techniques were great. I wanted to see the finished look too. As for 'reliving' different eras...i'm glad it's makeup and I can copy the styles of old and stay in my house. :) I wish she had more videos.

  • @BreezesofConey It's not like I want to go and fight in a freaking war or something. The people who said that were talking about MAKEUP not fighting in a war/ a depression or something. Why the hell would someone be "realistic" or "honest" about war when the TOPIC IS MAKEUP. I envy the fact that the people lived during a time when it was appropriate to wear gorgeous makeup like this, not that they had to live during a depression.

  • @LoveMokes I'm pretty sure no one asked for your input. No one said anything about wanting to relive the wars.

  • @justcatchme02 No one asked for yours neither, I totally agree with what they said. I see plenty of silly comments about how great it would have been to live back then. They're basing their feelings off watching a video about 1930s silver screen style make up. Living the wars and depression were pretty big events in that era. That's like saying you'd want to relive the 1970's because bell bottoms were cool. Nothing wrong with someone being honest and realistic, glad they said it first.

  • Holy crap, that model is absolutely GORGEOUS.

  • All my older friends love talking about picking up sailors, going to town in a wooden cart, fake nylons, dances, farms...

    Gorgeous photos, too.

  • I didn't know they had false eyelashes back then.

  • Fitness Model Skincare Secrets

Expert skincare and makeup guide to incredible skin.

  • When I see things like that, I wish I lived back in the 30's. But then I remember that I'm black.

Kind of puts a damper on that wish, you know.

  • @shazam15 LOL

  • @shazam15 Perhaps not if you lived in places like Harlem in those days. The Harlem renaissance was a great movement in black American history.

  • @BreezesofConey

It might have been a " great movement" but It still was very much NOT FUN to be a black person back then. I quite like being able to walk into any store I want to and not be afraid of going out at night due to the prevalence of lynchings. Oh the stories my great grandmother tells...

  • @shazam15 , hello, i just wanted to share a thought .. Josephine Baker, Billie, Ella, Louis Armstrong... these great people, and more , came out of that time, and now they are timeless ! Every time line, has good and bad - we have gangs, guns in schools, World Trade Towers... sorry, but i am thinking, the older days were still safer.

  • @CharlestonAnnie safer for white people?

  • @shazam15 or if your a female

  • The make-up artist is prettier than the model *.*

  • WHOS THE ARTIST?

  • FUCKEN DOPE!

  • Can't say that I dig the look, but I certainly dig the mastery of the art. The precision with which this was done is simply breathtaking. Can we agree?

Gals, also check out my channel, I just added a video on how to quickly get a full M.A.C. makeup kit(with $100 worth of coupons) that includes brush cleaner, brush set, lash curler. This won't last long, I promise you, its worth 3 min of your time!

  • whats that thingy you use to clean up the makeup?

  • @RadioZombieX the fall out? a large kabooky brush

  • @RadioZombieX it's called kabuki.

  • they look like dolls!

  • watched alot of makeup tutorials, this and the other 20's tutorial are the best best best, just love em thanks sooooooooooo much dear

  • A true master artist at work!

  • Is it a recostruction or a fashion make up? the lips have no the rigth shape but the rest is quite all right!

  • thanks for this video

  • Back when makeup was like art.

I envy my great grandmother for growing up in the 20's,30's,and 40's era.

Each decade had it's ups and downs, but I would give anything to have lived back then.

  • @heartzempire that years only in our mind are wonderfull... the common life was not so easy (medical knowledge, safety on the work place, political ideas, ecc ecc.)

  • @heartzempire omg, no! i agree with the roaring 20s, but the rest... no, please ;)

  • @HelvonMaranburg

I would've just wanted to live back then because of the way the makeup was..not everything else haha:)

  • You happen to be notably beautiful, thank you for the tutorial. its unfortunate i live within Fairland simply because i aren't able to end up getting good makeup, however i get no cost cosmetics samples through "Gratis Makeup Samples". i adore Olay makeup!

  • @fatalangel34: You're a gal after my own heart lol. I'm very particular with my own makeup too (I'm an old fashioned neutral-eye-and-red-lipstick type) and it's sad for me to see that the art of applying one's own makeup has fallen so far.

  • Now there's a REAL makeup "artist". Lovely

  • not diggin' the eyebrows, but the rest is very pretty

  • haha at first, i thought the girl (getting her makeup done) was a mannequin!!

  • Does anybody know what is this makeup artist name?

  • @malgocha007 Hey guys this is William I just submitted a video for Lady Gaga's monster song so when you can cum check it out on my channel or just type William kirk -monster video it took me hours just to put it together so when you can please check it out and leave a comment if you would like...take care and be safe;-)

  • I wish todays women look like this

  • Helena Rubinstein is the best company for lipstick in my opinion. Too bad it is so hard to find in North America.

  • breathtaking concepts, nice one, any of you sampled Maybellines new product line?? its hard to find cosmetics in Pittsfield yet i managed to get some impressive cosmetics samples by going to "Gratis-Makeup-Samples"! theyre handy.

  • Makeup artist looks more beautiful than the actual model lol

  • i wonder what kind of brushes she used !

  • Gosh, so gorgeous.

  • I LOVE HOW MUCH MAKEUP FADS HAVE CHANGED OVER THE DECADES!!!!

  • @TheZebrianna2 - It beats the 80's aqua blue look, lol

  • does anyone have any idea what colors/products these are? particularly the powder that she puts below the eyes (and then swips away) and the eyeshadows.

    SOO PRETTY.

  • I will attempt to achieve this look for a nazi doc I am working on in the morning.

  • Wow thats so pretty. The model slightly resembles Kim Noorda

  • WOW. she looks so angelic. an almost angel!

  • omg! the lips!

  • this woman seems very talented

  • Wow!! What a shame I couldn't hear any thing. But, still I watched it was great. Thank you.

  • ooooh!! she looks like a doll!! ^^

    5 starz!! :D

  • Hey, she found a use for those spongy applicators!

  • does anybody know what she has on her lips?!?!?!?!?! i love the color! but what brand?

  • @tamisweetie It's probably from Helena Rubinstein's own line.

  • Impecable...

  • wow she's amazing! those lashes are so realistic looking...brilliant!

  • the outcome is very pretty from what i can see...but am i the only one who doesn't get sound from this video??

  • and another thing too what the hell r u doing reading my profile? wow u must be a really sad person to let minor things like that bother you. Like do u think i would give a fuck if you put my country as your country in your profile?

  • have you ever thought that maybe hispanic people can be living in India? and how in hell am i offending asian peoppl when i didnt even say anything badlabout them? once you talk shit about someones race then that's wat i call offending if anyone was offensive here it was definitley you with youre stupid assumption that I am mexican...go and call a puerto rican or a guatemalan mexican and u prolly get a beating for sure

  • @lamujermaslinda "... go and call a puerto rican or a guatemalan mexican and u prolly get a beating for sure."

As a Chapina (Guatemalan) you bet your ass I have a word (and a chancla) for every asshole who says I am Mexican. I am glad someone understands the difference. :D

  • i guess the key to applying makeup is that you have to have the right features. so if u got an ugly nose like myself it wont help one bit.

  • I don't think that if you have an ugly part of your face you can't aplly the make-up, because, after all, in the 30's there would also be ugly women, and the would also have that tipe of make-up, so if you have an ugly nose dosn't mean that the make-up is not going to suit you

  • all the brushes are bobbi brown...

  • is a pity that at the end of the video they don't show all her face , one can not apreciate the gran finale!

  • Thats realistic. It would have been so wonderful to grow up during the two major world wars and all the depressions of that era. Go back to your text books and get real. There was nothing worth reliving. I'm a nurse and I take care of elderly people. They don't like to talk about their life before the 50's. You seriously envy your grandmother b/c she was able to wear this weird Harlequin/Pantomime makeup? Lets get that time machine invented folks. Maybe while u r there u can kill Hitler for us?

  • @LoveMokes Most women did NOT wear this type of make up, most women did NOT dress like the silver screen actresses. People come to idealize every single era and we are at a time now where things are so shaky and scary that the grass looks greener on the other side to many. They do not know what it was really like, they see bits and pieces and fill in the rest. There were good things but it wasn't glamorous. 1-5 homes were infested with bed bugs in those days. Many still had no indoor plumbing.

  • @BreezesofConey OK......just about everything you said was confusing. YOu are either telling me off for my comment or agreeing with me. You start out bitching at me then get confused yourself and start dissing that era just as I was. Make up your mind and while you are at it .... mention one damn thing that was really any good or better than today? Because no matter the 'shakyness' of today....they were shakier. There was more intense war and the makeup was dumber.....lol Enjoy yourself

  • Absolutely the best make up demo on youtube! A true Artist!

  • That is so beautiful! Does anyone know what products are being used here? (that is, what brands?) - thanks so much for posting this swinginglance!

  • ha ha, sorry for being a dope - I guess it must be Helena Rubenstein products they're using! oops.

  • that was amazing! she is so talented i wish i could look and do makeup like that i wanna know what lipstick she used at the end it was very thick!

  • come mi piace quel rossetto cosi rosso

  • This girl is unique . What a skill!. I wish you the best in this world.

  • she looks like jessica stam

  • I would also like to know how to do the make up artists's make up :) She looks gorgeous!

  • Of course she looks gorgeous! The model was born with good genes. That's why she looks good in any make-up. If you're butt ugly, no amount of make-up can help you.

  • I actually meant the make-up artist.

  • i agree

  • I read your profile. Why did you put India as your country? It's obvious you're not Asian. Your username tells me you're Mexican cuz it's in Spanish. I'm just wondering.

  • maybe because i dont like to reveal personal details of where i live or who i am and just because i have a spanish name doesnt mean im mexican. you forget that there are other latin american countries that exist as well.

  • @TiffanyMunro,

    Do I care?

  • Why'd you respond then you tart?

  • where u get the black glue wt eyelashes fake...thanx

  • this is DEF going to be the look for my wedding day!

  • BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO !!!!

She is a terrific artist !!

  • she looks like the doll but good job

  • wheres the sound for this?

  • Wish we got to see the end result in full.

  • yeah this is okay but TRACIE from PBCA is far better!!! Aussies rule xx

  • This may sound weird... but my "theme" for next year's prom is 30's!!!

  • Wow, that's cool.

I wish my prom's theme was the 30s.

we had "A Night to Remember"

    and everything was lame!

hope yours is going to be better!

I really like this Video. The Model and the Artist are both Gorgeous!

  • I absolutely love how gentle Helena is. Some makeup artists paint you like they're spackling a lifeless wall, not realizing how much it can irritate or hurt your skin, eyes and lips to be mangled like that. But she's careful and treats the model's face with respect. It's nice to see.

  • Helena Rubinstein died in 1965. And she looked nothing like that makeup artist.

  • Well, pardon me, but the title of the video was quite misleading. Geeze.

  • :( I didn't mean to be rude. I was just trying provide the correct information.

  • this looks AMAZING.

  • this looks so good!!

  • thanks for this video

  • This does not have any sound for me. Is it supposed to?

  • I would LOVE for her to do MY makeup!

  • omg she's soo good at make up!!

  • Oh my God. The eyebrows are amazing

  • this is insane!!!! she is the BEST!

  • i looove this video! how very jean harlow!

  • that makeup artist is precise! i love watching this.

  • WOW!!!!!! this make up artist is so amazing! I love the look and the techniques she is using.

  • beautiful!

  • The makeup artist's name is Stephanie Peirello Herve.

  • How did you know that? She is amazing, I wanna follow her everywhere ;)

  • I googled around after I checked out the makeup tutorials on the HR site - she's the 'official' HR makeup artist I think... Stunning work.

  • she's so meticulous with her technique, it's immaculate! And she's just as beautiful as the model she's doing.

Such a lovely look. A true artist

  • STUNNING!

  • i wish we could go back to the old classic styles....soo much more classy than today

  • @bex271 I'm perfectly agree with you

  • @bex271 I agree! There's really nothing special about today's makeup or clothing. It's just "throw it on and go" kinda thing. It's sad really. The makeup part saddens me because personally I like my makeup done very precisely and carefully and I always do my own makeup whatever the occasion is. Most people just smear something on and call it makeup and be done with it, but mine has to be precise... lol

  • @fatalangel34 Hey guys this is William I just submitted a video for Lady Gaga's monster song so when you can cum check it out on my channel or just type William kirk -monster video it took me hours just to put it together so when you can please check it out and leave a comment if you would like...take care and be safe;-)

  • Can you please tell me what shadow colors and highlights she used for her eyes? The brand? I love how deep she made the crease!

  • wow, she's beautiful!

  • I like the lips though=P

  • this make up artist is the shiet. no lie. she is good and very percise with her shiet.. kudos to her

  • i just wanna know whats tha name of that hair do the wavish part?

  • finger waves

  • Actually finger waves are smaller and done without a curling iron. The technique used here is called Marcel waves.

  • Nice!!!

  • amazing

  • wow! Same with my comment on your 1920's video, this is amazing. I wish I could use this make up artist to work with me. Where is she located?

  • Okaayy... Thanks! for the rude comment you give! Your r the loser! And just shut up with your bad comments!

  • i do kinda wish that it had the end result..

    but it's fine..

i can picture what it would look like..

    amazing video..

  • wow, very pretyy!

  • damn..give her a role in The Spirit

  • if that's scary make up then christ.. :O

she basically didn't have anything on XD

  • it's just fingerwaves. look them up.

  • OMGFW!

  • I love this too! I wish the video showed the makeup artist doing the foundation and powder too. But still a great vid!

  • It would have been nice to see the whole face at the end.

  • Loving that rad color. too bad there is no sound

  • is it possible for you to do this same look but more gothic??? coz i liked it, i just dont like white!!!! or pale colours...

  • Use her application technique, but in colors more suited to your liking.

  • Did you look at the vid from this same Tuber marked 1920's? I think you'll find it gothic!

  • what kind of brushes do you think she's using?

  • wow those lips are unnaturally red

    nice look though

  • that's the whole point.

  • pinkblushsassy:

the eyebrows she created are to demonstrate the way women had their eyebrows during the 1930's. It was the style back then to have this, extended eyebrows

  • The artist is so beautiful...she's more beautiful than the model...

Oh, and the makeup is great...
