Best album cover ever! I have the LP of this back home. Bought it out of a giant pile in the antique store. One advantage of records was that their sleeve was huge, so you got to see the awesome album cover larger than life.
Damn! So many years later and this track STILL reminds of the first girl I was crazy about! I was like 14 years old back then! Kinda funny but painful at the same time. In a good way. Ahhh.... memories. :)
@BloodOfRayne Man i was 12....and racing bmx......and the older kids turned me on to this album..Damn, this album was big news back in the day ...and I love it just like I did way back then...
This is fucking good hard rock, my brothers and sisters!! It is a shame that now we are subjected to the likes of Lady Gag-me and the Black- Eyed Fleas and all the other utter horseshit that is out there. It is up to us, the true hard rock fans still left, to expose the next generation to this awesome music and for us to pass the torch so that they may keep the hard rock flame burning long and strong on into the future.
WTF happened to these guys? Pyromania and High N' Dry were epic albums. On Through the Night was good as well. These 3 albums kicked ass. Hysteria was good but the end of the Leppard's roar.
@davebautista1 You're 100% right... and "WTF happened" was the death of Steve Clark, too much success, and a changing industry.
Clark was a major force in the song writing, and the "pre-Hysteria-release" Def Leppard was a very different band from the "post-Hysteria-tour" band. They weren't the same five guys... they were four guys minus a limb. They didn't have the same spirit. And when they woke up after all that... it was the 90s.
Agreed 100%.....Steve Clark was the riffmaster and core writer for all of the hits off of high n dry, most of the hits off of pyromania and at least half of hysteria......he was slowly being pushed back by the producers and the record companies in favor of commercialized BS, which, imo, led to his increased reliance on alcohol, which led to his untimely death.....make no mistake, without Clark, Leppard would have never materialized.
@DarthDrizzt You should have seen them in the early eighties when I did. They opened for OZZY and were equally as good as the OZ Man. They were truly a "Kick Ass" Rock band back then. I wouldn't call them that now. There music now is to mellow and light. Very mainsteam. I miss the old Lep. Oh well, times change and so does the music bands make. Thank God we can always count on AC/DC for keeping it real and giving us good, straight forward ROCK. Happy 64th B.Day (10-5-11) to AC/DC's Brian Johnson
Yep i agree. This was way under rated. I just saw them last night at verizon wireless theater in Saint Louis. Good show. Just a little to much effects on voices. They would have sounded great without 3 echos after all their words. However still a great show. They still drew a very large outdoor crowd!!!
@staugnativeson I'm beyond jealous. Too bad I'm a teen in today's age and the chances of any rock bands coming to Montreal are one in a million. Pop shit? Now that's inevitable.
One of my favs off this record! Just hated the drum sound on this record, sounds real fake. Much prefer the drum sound on the first two records. I just really hate the snare sound.
I still have this tape! We used to listen to it forward and back, especially on road trips! I love this song and this album. Billys got a Gun is also a favorite of mine.
God how I miss the early 80's! Pyromania is one of best hard rock albums EVER and this song kicks major ass. Takes me back to my high school days when I was totally in love with the incredibly gorgeous and talented Steve Clark...
@ArnicaLader and you know what is a coincidence about that?? in the booklet to the Deluxe Edition to this album, it says that they played the L.A. Forum from the second live disc on September 11, 1983. isnt that weird??

makes me want to be 16 again, grow my hair back out, and get it on with sixteen year old girls.....like you know..like when I was sixteen...yeah...I saw these guys in amarillo tx. but that was in a whole other century..How can this be an oldie now? a classic tune with awesome riffs and a hammerdown drummer...thanks for posting this vid..Jcc3279
