  • i seriously cant see the fun in the way your fishing i like to fish but to enjoy the thrill of the chase and the fight of the fish .your merely pulling its head off plain and simple really is a waste of a hard fighting fish like that cum on ,fair enough theres the odd snag but youve got control but chose to constantly crank it in no fun in that im afraid stick to filming wildlife .and your line must be at least 20lb bs

  • @fishermad1991 in other vids he says he uses 25 lb line (rope)

  • Lovely part of the country.

I walked the coast to coast several years ago which goes through Richmond and I loved every bit of it. Nice scenery, nice people.. Perfect.

  • I see from your profile Outkast111 you're 23 yrs old and proposing to assault an old man over 70yrs old. Perhaps you ought to grow up and stop being an arsehole before you find yourself behing bars or worse, same applies to you mrpigsick although at your age you should know better. There's always been pressure on Topcliffe and other venues with easy access and a good head of fish.

  • there are alot of barbs on the brompton stretch richmond angling club strech known for doubles try fishing opposite the beck there is a deepish glide on other side

  • as the brompton strech isnt far from richmond i assume they are there also is there a good time of day to fish for barbell the brompton stretch has alot of rocks has an excellent stock of brownies and grayling ther is a deep pool in particulari know but there is also alot of shallow pocket water between the brompton and richmond strech will this cause a problem for travelling barbel

  • @paulmacfishing As large numbers barbel spawn on gravel beds in the shallow clean water of the upper river they will have no problem. There is no substitute for being on the bank and fishing for barbel. Perseverence is the name of the game.

  • i fish the swale in brompton do you know anything abt this stretch and if it contains barbel x

  • @paulmacfishing Hi Paul,

I don't know the Brompton stretch but there are barbel at Richmond. Baits include fish pellets, luncheon meat, sweet, corn, cheese, hemp, maggot. The important things are to ensure your tackle is up to the job, look for deepish, streamy water and you have to be patient. There is plenty of imformation in Angling magazines and on the web.

    Cheers.

  • @Charlyfarly2 are those little fish all together gugin?:) great video you deserve alot more viewss!:D

  • hi there i regulary fish the swale in brompton as i visit brompton lakes holiday park serveral times a year is ther any barbel in this stretch and if so what is the best baits i watch your videos and you catch some serious fish are u near brompton or catterick

  • What a wonderful video. Very nice Camera work to show the Initial bite, Makes me want to get the rods out!! Maybe a small explanation on rigs, baits ETC would be helpful, also might be worth explaining a bit about Re-Oxygenating and Fish Handling after the capture as there will be a lot of newbies watching your Vids.
