kool display... but! nowhere can beat the awesome fireworks in sydney, i was there for ny08... london would have ticked me off with that clock ringing all the time! ferris wheel was kinda kool but no music! boo! sydney had an awesome soundtrack everything was really well planned, and the fireworks wasnt just centred, it was spread out over the entire city!! one and a half million ppl packed out the harbour!! best fireworks ive ever seen!

Was there tonight - the Police had shut off almost all of the side roads, so crowds were herded down onto particular areas of the Embankment - so no choice but to stand slightly further along... Managed to see about three fireworks through the smoke (although with a good view to the left of the Eye), heard some distant bangs and constant Police sirens screeching up and down the streets detracted from the New Year spirit somewhat. Traffic chaos on the way home & more closed roads.

i was there, and enless you were dirrectly opposite the eye, you couldnt see a thing. Its realy wet and misty today in london and smoke from the fireworks instantly became a thick fog. by the end you couldnt see the otherside of the river. And it was realy packed took 45 minutes to walk less than half a mile when it finished.
