Quit being ridiculous. There is nothing in the new FISA law about calling Al Qaeda. It actually authorizes the government to do random searches of all phone calls, not just to Al Qaeda. It completely removes the need to show probable cause before the search. We lost the right to make calls in privacy to anyone.

Maybe you should understand the workings of the Constitution and its amendments. Take a careful look at the 4th (search and seizure) and 14th (one part is privacy) amendments.

The bill legalizes many of the warrantless eavesdropping activities George Bush secretly and illegally ordered in 2001. Those warrantless eavesdropping powers violate core Fourth Amendment protections. And Barack Obama now supports all of it and so do you.  You apparently want the fourth amendment removed.

Obama is not my idea of a perfect candidate, but McCain is the complete antithesis of anything I believe in.

Whats funny is that FISA was under the radar for 20 years. Carter brought it in, every president used it, and now it's Bush's fault. The administration has repeatedly said that the rules of going to the FISA court have been followed when it comes to American citizens. I guess girls like the one in this video should run the world; one emotional discharge at a time.

The key is that Bush and the NSA BYPASSED the FISA court. They believe the President has power to disregard the law. Please educate yourself.

Why did Bush need to bypass FISA? My guess is that he was spying on people that the FISA court would never approve. For example spying on his political opponents, not terrorists.

Why bypass the FISA court? There are lots of reasons. 1) Time. 2) The abundance of claims. Roving taps can encompass hundreds of numbers. 3) Innocence. If the NSA knows a tap is innocent then why seek a warrant? They just drop the tap. 4) Counter-Tapping strategies. Terrorist use disposable phones.

1)You are saying AFTER you have found a crime and needed to tap, you had 3 days to apply for a warrant.

2)This presumes guilty until proven innocent. This is not how our justice system is supposed to work.

3)Why get a warrant? We had a 4th amendment against illegal search and seizure. It took presenting probable cause to a judge before obtaining a warrant. How are you sure the system is not being abused?

2) How our justice system works? They arrest you before they try you right? Guilty or not.
