@ara1996 Midori was " too fat"??? She was just muscular (although nothing manly), sporty and fit. She was not fat at all. And of course with all the respect - Mao Asada's Axels are nothing compared to these of Midori. This is sport, not a beauty competition.
out of context the finger up looks weird, but i believe this was at 2006 nationals, which was the first time anyone performed this move successfully. hence, a "we're number one" finger.
@Mare416 If it wasn't for him giving her an extra lift up, she wouldn't be able to do the jump. If she could, she would be doing triple axels on her own.
God, I can't stand John Baldwin. And I hate the way he put up one finger after it. It's like she was a trick monkey or something. Especially since he can hardly stand up for longer than 30 seconds on his skates.
midori is absolutely amazing. but I also like mao's 3A.
mao's 3A is soft and featherlight. midori's 3A is amazing high and powerful. I think it's their personality.

This reminds me Midori's triple axel. She was able to throw the jump in the same height without assistance.

I saw them in the 2008 U.S. Championships. They tried it, but it didn't turn out so well.

I didn't mean it like that, a show of authority. It was just bragging and I feel he has little to brag about. But I may be too harsh.

I completely agree with you. It wasn't HIM doing three and a half revolutions, it was HER. John Baldwin just bothers me.
