Oh, and old guy in this video, the reason retailers make prices such as, $299, is so in reality the price is pretty much the rounded up dollar amount, but the average person would rather pay $299.99 rather than $300, because they think that just because there is a 2 in the number it will be much cheaper if it were just the flat 3. Most people are smarter than this, but Americans are dull at some points.

Fact: the oil of the coastline will be unavailable for at least 10 years, by then it has been calculated that it will drop the prices of oil by about 3 cents. Furthermore, there is not even that much there- so- we will destroy the wildlife, put more carbon into the air, further air pollution. Fact: continuing at this rate will result in NO ice bergs on Earth in just 20 years. NASA research, not a loony toon. Period.

its $199 for 8GB and $299 for 16GB in the US for a plan dude, which means they pay either straight up or as monthly handset repayments to their phone company, plus the monthly plan costs, which is exactly the same as here in Australia, for example if you do the optus $49 cap, your iphone will only cost $288 for 16GB, so it works out around the same.

see ziphone..org for more info. the problem is that the iphone 2.0 is much more Orwellian. and it costs much more too, once you add in the mandatory price increases, just as pcz1 said. right now, my monthly at&t iphone bill is about $73. so it will go to $83. minimum 2 years. that's $199 for the iphone and another $1,992.00 for the service. oh and for that you still only get 400 anytime minutes and 200 smss.

the first time around, a lot of the buyers were buying more than 1. this time around you'd have to activate the phone in the store so i think that makes a lot of difference. but then again it might sell out, i'm not sure. i know i'm not buyiny one anytime soon.

like my OLD iphone, i'm gonna wait a while, check out the comments and reviews to see if its really worth buying the 2nd gen iphone. 10$ more for data, i don't think so, i'd rather put that extra 10$ in my gas tank. sure apple drop the price but still we as consumers gonna pay somewhere down the road. i like my OLD iphone and i think i'm gonna stick with it for a few more years.
