I just tried out Zenix in a virtualbox and I must say this has a chance at replacing my mint8 install. Even the themes and wallpapers are most agreeable.
From what I got off the site, it's just some artwork, themes, and some added software. This would take a lot less resources and it's wouldn't add to the fragmentation of Linux distros.
May I also add that the logo has the Yin and yang sign in it; which is Taoism symbol. Yes, concepts like Yin and yang can be found in Buddhism, but they do not use Yin and yang.
There is a bug in Ubuntu based ditros for the past 2 releases. Basically, the installer will download and install OpenOffice if it is not present in the LiveCD. This affects Xubuntu as well.
Neat looking distro. I might have to load it up in a virtual machine to pull out the backgrounds. It appears bodhi.zazen is the maintainer for it. I did some work with him on the Ubuntu Beginner's Team a while back. Very nice guy.
The shoutout is necessary - your show must get more views. It deserves it. As for the distro: Those guys did a really good job and I hope they keep on maintaining it. Like I said, I'll be putting this on my netbook soon.
Zenix is awesome because it got Awesome :P

I wanted to ask what screen capture software are you using here?

@LouigiVerona This was done with gtk-recordmydesktop.

@EdgyRootStudios Wow! I am using it too but I did not know it had this neat zooming feature. I gotta explore it more!
LouigiVerona 1 year ago
@LouigiVerona Oh, little misunderstanding here. The zooming feature is done with Compiz. :-)

Why not just make a meta-package?

@EdgyRootStudios Well I definitely appreciate it.
Hm. I really need to install something new on my netbook. Perhaps I'll give this a shot there.
