Anywhere you can find a GT rear bumper will fit a V6 of that year. eBay, and auto part scrapyards can be your best bet.

@98MustangGT46L, mufflers themselves are universal other than the inlet/outlet size so as long as u get the right size it doesn't matter if it's GT or V6

Mufflers are mufflers, they do not make different "kinds" for different engine sizes. These are Flowmaster 40s off their website and welded into a custom fabricated off road H pipe and a mandrel bend.

Nope, FL doesn't have emissions testing (:

but if you are in a state that does, then yes you have to put the cats back on or you will fail.

durr, I think you were on MF v6 sec awhile ago, but then bought a GT. This car sounds great. I based alot of the appearance ideas off of this car. In fact, I have a mineral gray 02 v6 with the flat black panel, GT bumper, 3.5 tips... it basically looks like a clone of your car, but I have bullitt wheels instead of Saleens. My exhaust is Flow super 40s, o/r h-pipe and longtube headers... it sounds just as good if not better than this. Thanks for the ideas man.

A car will not pass emmission at all even if the MIL's are installed.

But BBK makes them, you can get them from their website.

Yeah, you will need to have true dual exhaust tho, not a y-pipe that splits, you'll need an h-pipe.

The cats are the catalytic converters that are in front of the midpipe on the car.

They "clean" the exhaust gases for emission purposes and removing them makes your car louder.

My buddy down at an exhaust helped me fab it up from scratch. In total about $80 for mufflers, $60 for tips, and like $200 for the exhaust work (but i knew the guy so he gave me a small discount).

yeah most likely around $500 at the most for everything for you unless you do the exhaust work yourself, you'll also need MIL eliminators for taking the cats off.

I did the research (I have a V-6 2001) and the V-8 have much more mechanical problemas than the V-6. In the long run, it is much more time, money,hassle and downtime. Fixing up a V-6 is the way to go!

No, the cobra deal didn't fall through that day, I have a '99 GT now, and mustangs will last as long as you let them, if you beat on it and don't give a sh!t it will crap out on you but if you care for it, it can easily get 200k + miles.
