@carefree1905 I agree. I am blind and I'm 13 years old, it hard when I go to restaurants with my family or friends and they have to read the menu TO ME. At least make the font bigger for people who still have some sight
i do agree with the point about talking directly to the blind person. however, the idea that the menu should be read to them is a little patronising, and in the UK it is against the law. I would suggest that every single restaurant has a large print and Braille menu available in it. They're not expensive to make/buy, A very useful set of videos i must say, but that first part needs changing
Allenj1313 i can explain this, not everyone is totally blind, for example ( myself) i am Legally blind, i can read very very large print, but i have to use a cane and i cant see print menu's thats why this person has glasses they must still have a very small bit of vision left.
this video is very stupid and insulting and whoever did this should be ashamed "when gettring the attention of THE blind person" seriously like shes a dog or something and yes there are different types of blindness ugh that made me upset
Blind people are not fully blind, like the person under me just said. But i'm guessing she's just near sighted. It must have been better just having them on then just putting it on every time she wanted to see something up close because she couldn't see far anyways.
@3xTnAnhMinhfan 9/10 blind people have some vision. If someone can't see anything they are profoundly blind. If a person has 20/200 vision or worse with corrective lenses, they are called legally blind. I'm legally blind with 20/600 vision.
@allenj1313 , the reason they wear glasses MOST of the time is because as their eyes cannot focus, they wander around a lot. It looks strange and attracts attention. So many people find themselves uncomfortable and wear sunglasses. In her case, she's wearing clear ones which is strange...

My daughter wore clear glasses to protect her eyeballs since she was running into a lot of obstacles and getting poked in the eye hurts!
