multitouch is only supported in models tx2-2000 and up, and tx2z. did your model come natively with Win 7. if not - go to Hp support and drivers website, find your exact model and download multitouch drivers for Win 7.
hello, as you did and it will recognize more than two fingers?
I have an HP TouchSmart tx2 1275dx with windows 7 ultimate and use the n-trig driver and does not recognize more than two fingers, I need a special driver? I hope you can help me, thank you!
I really need this for my classes, does someone have a solution?
Someone mentioned that I have to install the dell 32-bit drivers. (I have the tx2z, dual boot win7 and vista, both 64 bit, the n-trig drivers for win7 disabled the pen (ink) input)
Boot to windows 7 and just uninstall the driver package you installed. Reboot and boot into vista and the old drivers seem to be active again. IDK why it does this, because I have 7 on a different partition than vista, but it gets disabled in both. Pretty annoying.
From what I understand, the pressure sensitivity is not compatible with photoshop. I have not tried myself though. I ordered some new software though and will test out photoshop when it comes in and let you know. =D
Correct, at least with the n-trig drivers for the dell XT and HP xt2 / xt2z. n-trigs latest *beta* driver does this. And I installed win 7 on a partition on my C drive with vista, and if I have the beta drivers installed, it installs / uninstalls on vista too. annoying because i can't just leave the pen in vista and the beta touch on 7, its either or. Hope they address this soon! Bugs the heck out of me. win 7 handwriting recognition is supposed to be awesome to I hear.
I was going to get one of these, decided against it and got myself a Acer TimelineX instead. A multitouch trackpad is good enough for me :)

hey whats the difference with tx2z and tx2 ?????
thanksss
4thepeoples 2 years ago
I'm not positive, but i think the tx2z introduced the dual-touch and also uses capasitive touch vs pressure. could be wrong tho.
theamazingaustin 2 years ago
Youre wrong. TX2 is ready built preship, TX2Z is customizable, whit uubgrades like more ram. But have multitouch...
Argon165 2 years ago
So do they both have multi touch? I was planning on getting a TX2 cause TX2Z are to over priced.
Daxter609 2 years ago
@Daxter609 Theyre having both multitouch, and the TX2 in german version is completely priceless and efficient.

Oh I miss understood your comment also I think the Z is pointless one unless you want windows 7 professional.

too bad you dont get pressure sensitive in photoshop with TX2, thanks to the poorly written tablet driver

Windows 7 was made to be touchscreen frendly. Another cool thing is when you bump the window either up, left or right. See what happens :D

On my HP, I just have to uninstall the new driver package. (install and uninstall within windows 7)

Megavideos12345 2 years ago
Sorry, I don't know where you could get that and doubt its even available. I'm running that from within windows 7, not vista.
