a kittle history of silent night this song was written by a priest in austria while he was walking home from blessing a baby was inspired by the peaceful night and wrote the lyrics to this song and then gave it to the organist at his church and he wrote the music

this song was origonally written for two singers one of them playing a guitar *PLAYED FOR THE FIRST TIME ON CHRISTMAS AT HIS MASS
