Jani always seemed to smile and keep things real in interviews etc and always had respect for his 'proper' front man status. hearing this track after a million years I can really hear his strong hallmarks as an extremely talented rocker. as someone who grew up in the 80s/90s, skating to metalica b4 they sold out (pre-justice), megadeth, etc, i laughed at the bubble gum 'metal' of the day. jusy got my first new crotch rocket- a 91 zx-6, and a buddy who was a senior had the baddest truck at school- a 92 toyota with 35s a a system. this was when subs were the shit n most metal didn't have much bass. this tune was in his cd player- also the newest shit. it blew me away... God im old. thanks 4 the memories!!!

People were sick of it, but also people like Kurt Cobain and Jerry Cantrell came out with these awesome new sounding ideas. Still even now, the 80s aren't completely dead. The best of the genre lives on today in the form of a few power metal bands.

@78Revolutions Their first album "DRFSR" was technically excellent and fun. Cherry Pie on the other hand was embarrising for the band. Only Uncle Tom's Cabin, Bed of Roses and Blind Faith were good. The rest were crap especially title track which became a laughing stock for Jani Lane. But CBS/Epic were a major label and you couldn't control them just look at bands like Riot and Meliah Rage. They were too commercial for their good own even though I like Thundersteel.
