Coincidence? I was at the concert mentioned in this that took place 1/7/96...I found this 1/7/2011! The day after the concert I found a harp to rent; Kim and Virginia's playing touched a place deep within that felt as though I'd known this music eons ago. I also remember watching Bridging H/E late at night in Santa Barbara and as I now reside in Michigan and have been homesick for years it was so calming and welcome to get a piece of it. Thanks!

whoever has not heard the mantra tapes Kim speaks of, they are most amazing. They are the real deal for sure for sure for sure. You can also download a few of them from itunes if you search 'Singh Kaur'. My favorite is 'mender of hearts' but they are all truly transcendant. The albums are called 'Crimson Collection'- Namaste.,

Go Kim go. You have to wade through misc stuff before she does harp with the 'cellist.
Go 3/4s through if you want to hear the harp
right away. Kim is a down to earth, very nice,
grounded person and her harp workshops the real thing in that she is a decent teacher.
She is playing on a Celtic or Folk harp of fairly large size. Note the unusual top of the harp....This note is from an admiring former student of Kim's.

By the way Wistancia I had a harp for around 12 years too without playing it but 4 years ago I thought I'm not getting any younger and I wanted to play it before my fingers are stiffen up! They're a long way off doing that but I suppose there will come a time. I didn't want to get old and regret not learning to play. So I've practised hard since then. Kim makes it look easy, it is hard work but so rewarding. I hope you do take it further.
